It sure has some interesting properties that could be put to many uses besides floral design. Best description I can come up with: It's double-sided tape with the "stickability" of a Post-It, and it can stretch a bit.

For anyone who's interested, it's intended use is to wrap the stems of small flowers, as you would see in a corsage or boutonniere. Because the tape sticks to itself, individually-wrapped flower stems can be arranged and then wrapped together, which ensures that they stay that way.

BTW, so there's no confusion: There's another kind of floral tape with a totally different purpose. What I used can be seen here:
