ainhwrd says:
And to claim that the current administration has "responsibility as its core theme" when it has spent or proposed new spending in its first 100 days sufficient to keep our grandchildren and great grandchildren in debt until THEY have grandchildren is laughable.
Can't let this bogus claim pass: BushRoveCheney racked up more debt than any previous prez (including Reagan, who
brought this country's economy to its knees (by ignorant tax cuts for the obscenely wealthy) with the greatest amount of red ink in this country's entire history--check Forbes Magazine for the graph of red ink gushing to the bottom of the page).

The neocons stole every penny of OUR Social Security funds for no-bid (illegal) funding for their warmongering
of the bloody morass in Iraq. In addition, their macho war costs (12 Billion bucks a month--every single damn month) are held in a secret accounting, and do NOT appear in the federal deficit figures. If you exclude the hidden costs, you will
have become another gull to swallow their BS.

No other regime in history has presided over so massive a plundering of America's economy--Obama (although he
is a Harvard-educated lawyer and can read and speak English well, as opposed to the preceding buffoon), nobody,
could destroy this country in 100 days. Get real. Read the financial news. Check out Nobel Prize-winning economist's
columns on what has been done to us, and what laws and regulations must be re-instituted to salvage the shreds of a
destroyed economy.

Very good points Leonbergergirl. I most certainly agree that the Bushmen have to take a significant chunk of responsibility for racking up debt for future US citizens and making a mess of this place (criminal!) but I must admit that Obama’s start has really not improved much upon reducing that debt or the warmongering. He followed right in the footsteps of Bush with the trillions in bailout corporate welfare policies and continues do so to this day. I have read/listened to the Nobel Prize-winning economists (Krugman, Scholes, and Stiglitz) and they do not agree all that much with Obama’s current economic plan and basically Obama has done little if anything so far to fix regulatory issues with the financial system.

Yes, Obama is certainly less embarrassing than Bush when it comes to IQ and even if some may disagree with that, he at least does have better communication skills than the previous village idiot.

With regard to blood-n-guts, again Obama continues to drain the blood of our most treasured national asset by ramping up military intervention in Afghanistan even to this day. He is still even following through with the same type of budgeting process for the increased warfare -- things have not changed all that much from the Bush policy. We need to get out of there period. Those people over there have been tribal for eons and we have no business interfering with their laws or beheadings or whatever … just ask the Russians, British, Mongols, and Greeks all of whom tried to interfere and were eventually run out.

Despite Obama’s shortcomings, he IS the lesser of the two evil choices we had last fall. Nonetheless, as Kerry might say … I voted against him after I voted for him and I voted against him mainly because he supported the stupid bailouts before the national election.

I'm sure you didn't mean to indicate that your own claim was bogus, but your punctuation is somewhat ironic. Especially when one considers that NOTHING in your rant addressed what ainhwrd said...

Your claim, while true, is misleading.

First, when Bush left office the National Debt was indeed higher than any other administration. And while the President is influential, it was the DEMOCRATICALLY-CONTROLLED CONGRESS who spent the money. (Need I remind you who was a Senator then?)

Second, in 4 short months, Obama has proposed spending which, if approved by his fawning Congress, will blow the lid off the Debt.

President Bush expanded the federal budget by a historic $700 billion through 2008. President Obama would add another $1 trillion.

President Bush began a string of expensive financial bailouts. President Obama is accelerating that course.

President Bush created a Medicare drug entitlement that will cost an estimated $800 billion in its first decade. President Obama has proposed a $634 billion down payment on a new government health care fund.

President Bush increased federal education spending 58 percent faster than inflation. President Obama would double it.

President Bush became the first President to spend 3 percent of GDP on federal antipoverty programs. President Obama has already increased this spending by 20 percent.

President Bush tilted the income tax burden more toward upper-income taxpayers. President Obama would continue that trend.

President Bush presided over a $2.5 trillion increase in the public debt through 2008. Setting aside 2009 (for which Presidents Bush and Obama share responsibility for an additional $2.6 trillion in public debt), President Obama’s budget would add $4.9 trillion in public debt from the beginning of 2010 through 2016.

DS,

Deep down, you know you fit in the first set of definitions. Deep down, you know you are a liberal. Libertarian is just your ruse. You can run, but you can't hide.

But don't despair. There is much more in life than money. Enjoy it!

I would like to take you hiking in the Blue Ridge (you can educate me about the geological formations) if you ever come to western NC. Or trout fishing or kayaking (lake or whitewater) or sailing or horseback riding. Or to a high school football game or an ACC basketball game.

I have plenty of liberal friends who would like to join us to make you more comfortable.

Standing invitation.

Thanks so much for the invite my dear friend Rooster ... sounds fun indeed.

But just so you know, I'm a working man. I will retire as a working man only after I take my last breath of air (hence my retirement plan is to maintain my health as long as possible ... what is that thing you call money btw).

What happened to Gen. Wesley Clark? He was an early candidate for Pres, haven't seen him since. I don't think he's in Obama's cabinet. His absence is conspicuous.

I agree, Hannity is a smart showman and is making a ton of money playing a fictional character. But to offer to be waterboarded? Why not just try OSA for a while, same thing but dry.

Take away my CPAP for two nights. I would spill every secret I have to get it back.

I would be willing to tell them anything they want to hear to get it back (be it secret, truth, or lies).
