"Every Breath You Take" (Sting)

hmmm...the line in it, "I'll be watching you...." About sleep techs, no doubt. Or maybe it was about autopaps.

Or a portent of things to come...the S8's "Personal Assistant", perhaps?! LOL!!

I thought of that last night too, RG! "I'll be watching you"... the ultimate song for those monitoring sleep studies!

Well, the Breeze experiment didn't fail me though I didn't wake up at 5am. My mask slipped off a couple of times last night and my wife had to wake me up to adjust it.

Undoubtably though, when I use the Breeze/nasal pillows I feel better in the morning. I believe it's something to do with the amount of air that is introduced into my nostrils vs. the mask not "firing" directly into my nostrils.

In another thread, someone mentioned about adjusting the Breeze. Whomever that was (I'm too lazy to look.. ...), I THANK YOU! No "nare wear" this morning, I'm going to be brave and go back to back nights with the Breeze since I first got it.

The song du jour?

Dreamland by the B-52's

Meet me tonight in dreamland
Meet me tonight in dreamland
Where the things I want will come true
For in dreamland they always do
So meet me tonight in dreamland

Meet me on the path of green
Where nightmares disappear in dreams
Sleeping as one
Flowered river carries us down
To dreamland

In dreams
Kisses are pure as the sky is blue
In dreams
As it carries the thoughts I have of you
In dreams
Kisses are pure as the sky is blue
Dreamland, dreamland!

The wind is a perfume of blossoms that hide
From the people who'd trample a dream such as ours
Blossoms that fall from trees so tall
That falling is floating in heaven for hours
Trees that are towers that rise above
The bower of dreams where I lie with my love
Dreams that fly from our hearts to each other
Shared thoughts of our love under the covers

With kisses we are entwined
With the lillies and the vines
All on the path
Last night I dreamed I had burning hands
Reaching for beautiful visions
And everythng was shimmering

The friends that have walked on before us
Are waiting to take us to laughter and dancing
The friends that have walked on before us
Are waiting to take us to the sky

I dreamed I was in a boat floating on air
And everything was there...
And everything was shimmering

I know... it's a bit sappy but what the heck, I always enjoyed the B-52's, it's "happy" music!

OSR,

You probably just had a crush on Kate at one time..and who could deny, at one point, that they liked Love Shack...baby.

Well... I've tried and tried. The Breeze/Pillows setup produces great results but now (after using the Mirage Activa) I've found that I'm unknowingly taking the Breeze off at night!

I can't seem to make it work. The adjustments I have to make in order to get the pillows "just so" makes the bottom plastic piece push into the area above my upper lip. It's not a nare factor now, it's a comfort factor.

When I'm able to order another mask I'm going to try a different one. Right now I guess I'm going to use the Activa exclusively, even though I don't feel that "bright eyed and bushy tailed" (as Bill puts it) when I wake up.

Oy vey.

If this is the only problem in my world then I'm blessed!

Well, I have to say, I am amongst the minority who couldn't stand the Breeze. Even when I had it sealed, it had to be with too much pressure against my nose and I know that wasn't what it was designed to be like. In addition, I found the headgear just too heavy for me. When I would turn to the side, even with two stretch headbands in different locations on the headgear, it would feel like it was hanging like a weight to that side. I had absolutely no luck at all with it and decided it wasn't worth the stress.

Old Sea Rock,
That was taken from page 6 of a thread I started a while ago on the Breeze and my experiences with it. I think you may have read this one already. If not, viewtopic.php?t=3703&postdays=0&postord ... ze&start=0

I went from the Breeze to my all time favorite, the Swift. Of course there are mixed opinions about this interface, too, although I love it. It is so light, weighing in at 2.5 oz., doesn't hurt your nares at all, sits basically at the bottom of them and doesn't push into them like the Breeze did to me, and is great to sleep in in any position. The one and only negative I can say about it is, the lines it can leave on your face. But I came up with a pretty good fix for that, viewtopic.php?t=4086&highlight=cure+swoosh+lines

You know as well as anyone else by now that what works for one person won't work for someone else. I am a living testament to that with the Breeze. But I, and a lot of others on this site, swear by the Swift. Just offering my "humble opinion" on the subject. Let me know what you ended up ordering, please. Good luck.

Thanks Lori - believe me, I'm going to stick around this joint until someone gives me the boot !

You know, I really REALLY want to wear the Breeze. But I just don't think that it and I get along. It's a nare issue.

Thanks for all the help, guys and dolls!

Don't feel bad, OSR. The Breeze and I fought all the time till I divorced him and he remarried someone else on this site. I have since taken up with Swifty and he and I were made for each other. As they say, a match made in heaven.

I hope you will find your match soon, too, so you can spend many a happy night together in bed (bold, aren't I???).
