ResMed Elite II Clinician's Manual?
Re: ResMed Elite II Clinician's Manual?
Just to follow up on this: at the end of the four-week trial period, I took the loaner Escape and the loaner Swift LT mask back to the DME and received a brand-new Elite II and brand-new Swift LT mask. I did not get the clinician's manual, but I did get a data card (I have ordered the stuff I need to use it, which isn't sold in Canada).
From going through the clinician's menu on the Elite II, it appears that the Autoset guide covers all of the menu items accurately, and the sequencing and access actions are identical. The ones missing on the Elite II, obviously, are those that have to do with APAP.

tyropita, are you talking about being able to change settings? I would like a copy, they turned off my EPR setting, how crazy is that?
Re: ResMed Elite II Clinician's Manual?
I know how to get into the clinical menus to modify setup. What I would like to know is if there are hidden secrets, Easter Eggs, deep truths found only in the manual that would help me better understand the logic of the various settings. Any input and guidance will be welcomed.Paul56 wrote: I'd be more than happy to share my copy. I posted details about it in another recent post here.
PM me your email address and I will send you a copy.

PM me your e-mail address and I'll return the favour I was done, namely I'll e-mail you a copy of the manual.tossandturn wrote:tyropita, are you talking about being able to change settings? I would like a copy, they turned off my EPR setting, how crazy is that?
You can find out how to access the clinician's menu by searching this forum, but the manual lays out the menu paths quite clearly, and has other useful information in it as well (no Easter eggs so far, alas; I thought the "humidifier warming" option was undocumented, but it is documented in the H4i manual).
I had EPR turned on, but it required getting into the clinician's menu to change the EPR response from "medium" to "fast", which improved my nighttime experience.
Re: ResMed Elite II Clinician's Manual?
I also was wondering if someone could help me get a copy of the clinician's manual for the RESMED S8 elite II. I have seen it mentioned very often but cant find it anywhere. I have the quick setup guide but not the manual. Any help would be appreciated. I have been using a CPAP for about 20 years and just received a new RESMED S8. As some others have mentioned in discussion the folks that set it up were not familiar with the user options nor how to turn them on. I do have the quick set up which is kind of the menu map but I do not have the manual which is suppose to explain everything a little better. Thanx for any help anyone could provide.

Guest,
register for the forum, post here that you have, then pm one of the people who have it and give them your email address
see if that works

Tyropita,
Thanks for the response. By the way are you in any way related to Spanikopita?

Hello, I just recently started on My CPAP journey. I have been using my Resmed machine since January 8, 2009. I have tried a myriad of different masks. The bridge of my nose is still sore Anyway, I would also like to get a copy of the Clinicians manual for my Elite II if someone would be so kind as to send me one.....

No, just a silly pun. "Tyro" as in newbie, and "PITA" as in... well, you can figure that out.JimW203 wrote:[ By the way are you in any way related to Spanikopita?

Re: ResMed Elite II Clinician's Manual?
I just got my S8 Elite II this morning and fited with a Mirrage Quattro mask
Couldnt help but lay down at noon and give it a lil try, I was so tired.
woke up around 245pm and felt like i had slept for a week, I can hardly wait till go to sleep tonight
I am also in canada, Brockville ontario on ODSP
and I have found if u walk into these stores with no info at all they will give u the lowest of the low
I was told when i first walked in a week ago I was getting a resmed tango and that it was close to being a top of the
line CPAP
after doing some reading on here and posting a question, I found out the tango is more or less a hair dryer with a hose and mask.
the store was shocked when I walked back in armed with info and answers to things they thought i had no clue on
when all said and done I walked out today with a s8 elite II, a mirrage quattro full face mask, a container of CPAP mask wipes, a free resmed tube cover, and a 6 filters all for the cost of $0.00 yup FREE billed to ODSP and ADP
I'm a happy camper

That made me laugh. But then I sobered up and realized that others must be falling for it.slideshowstan wrote: I was told when i first walked in a week ago I was getting a resmed tango and that it was close to being a top of the

Re: ResMed Elite II Clinician's Manual?
Wow, what a find! I am new to this CPAP stuff myself. Never really even heard of it until a month ago. I am 3 weeks into my S8 Elite treatment. Takes some getting use to but I think I'm getting the hang of it. I'm an Engineer and hate being locked out of anything. I wanted to use the Mask Fit feature but didn't get the Clinician's Manual as well. I'll PM someone. This is a neat thread.
