and to add to linda's post 1.5 will handle a bipap auto machine and 1.4 won't.

I don't have 1.5 and so I didn't read the fine print. You might want to read what they ask you to accept if you download 1.5.
I would get the smart card reader running, download some data and generate some reports in Encore Pro, once that is all working then trying to use MyEncore, not before. It will be looking for all kinds of info that has yet to be loaded into the database. "Resource" is a totally generic term and could refer to almost anything in the system, so in human terms the error was about as explicit as "something is missing". If you get the ducks lined up in the right order this stuff installs and works very easily.

I just downloaded MyEncore and it is working fine. Nice charts, I also like the daily summary. I have a question on the charts AHI events vs. pressures. My pressures are IPaP 10 and EPaP 4 however none of the charts that has pressure useage show any activity pass 8. The reports from Encore Pro show that 90% of the time I am at 10, but this is not shown on the MyEncore charts. I set the preferances from 4 to 12 on the chart pressure settings. Any suggestions as to why? Thanks GLC

Success Story - Maybe?

Post by howellpr » Mon Feb 20, 2006 10:28 pm

First of all thanks to all of you for the support provided herein. I have been a hosehead for about 2 years and had no improvement in symptoms, including a fibromyalgia syndrom diagnosis from a new rhuematologist. After reading here and allot of praying I decided to put out for the Auto Remstar w/ C-flex and the software and reader.

My old remstar plus w/ cflex was set at 7 cm. I suspected it of being too low. After reading the last two nigts data generated by the maching, and judging by the greater degree of awareness I have upon awakening, I can now prove it. I can;t remember the last time I woke up feeling this good and two days in a row. I hope it last!!!!!

With the auto flex my AHI is 6 with events happening below 11 cm 90% of the time. Seems to me that the setting for old Remstar plus should have been set at 11 cm in order to be successful??

Any comments are appreciated

Phil

Phil, you've done such a good thing for yourself! What you discovered with your new autopap is exactly why so many of us prefer using an autopap instead of a fixed single pressure machine. And why we like to have the software to monitor our own treatments. A person can do the same thing (find an effective pressure) with a straight cpap if it records full details, but an autopap sure does make it easy.

Very glad to hear you're feeling better now.

Removed original post (asking for assist)

- I finally got MyEncore working - discovered there was a later version (B7) I still had B5 & that was just not working with Encore Pro 1.5.

In the end I deleted both for the 3rd time but left SQL Server - installed My Encore B7 & it was able to access the db ok.

Restedgal, Thanks for the reply

To all:

I'm sure I will have many questions in the future but last night I awoke at about 3 am and the apap was blowing very hard. I could not get it to subside. Later I learned that it was at 13 cm. I had to turn the machine off, relocate to the couch and start over. Any Ideas?

Only Dealers Can Update Encore Pro?

Post by dvejr » Sat Feb 25, 2006 6:59 pm

[imghttp://servicesoftware.respironics.com/cgi-bin/servicesoftware.cgi]
Looks to me like I cannot upgrade my Encore Pro software - Respironics site says "This function is only available to Respironics, Inc. Dealers and Providers. If you currently are a Dealer or Provider and are not signed-up to access our website..."[/img]

Does anyone know of software that will do something like this with the Silverlining 3 data (used with P-B auto CPAPs)?

My Encore displaying limited range of dates

Post by only1chip » Sun Mar 05, 2006 10:18 am

I've recieved my Encore Pro software and card reader (BTW: version 1.5i is what I got from cpap.com last week). I've installed them and the MyEncore package (version 1.5B7) this morning. Both software packages and the reader appear to be functioning properly, except for one thing...

Encore Pro shows data since 2/23 (my first night with a cpap), but MyEncore only shows 5 nights worth of data (since 2/28). No amount of specifying the date ranges in any of the dialog boxes on the preferences page changes this. It seems like the MyEncore software can't access any data older than 2/28.

Looks like some others in this thread have had a similar problem. I tried downloading the data from the smart card a second time, same results... Anyone have any ideas???

I love the enhanced views that MyEncore displays - Thanks Derek!

Thanks in advance for any help...

Chip

do you have more than just compliance data from encore pro for the first few days? the card will only hold a weeks worth of enhanced data so anything older than a week old will be just hours you ran the machine

when you click on your download on the list of interactions on the popup window make sure you ask for full details then pick a range to include the first few days and look at the report - it will be several pages in pdf format

unless you installed the registry key to not erase the card your card will be erased every download

Question: Why would my Hypopnea index go up as pressure increases while my Obstructive Apnea Index go down? Shouldn't they work together?

Manual for MyEncore? Where to get it?

Post by Moogy » Sat Mar 11, 2006 1:15 pm

I downloaded the newest version of MyEncore, since it is the only one that will work with my Auto BIPAP.

I am wondering if there is a users manual for MyEncore, or if the users manual for the older version would be helpful. I couldn't find a download for the manual, but the website implies that there is one.
