I am a newbie. Have had ResMed unit about three weeks. My wife complains that the machine is "so loud that i can't sleep." She has gone so far as to unplug the unit during the night --while I'm using it.
I am tempted to return the unit and write off the cost, but wanted to offer up my dilemma to the group. Anyone else faced such drastic negative response? Any reasonable explanations I can use?
All feedback appreciated!
I would not want to sleep in the same bed as someone who would unplug a piece of equipment like that on me let alone in the same house.

My boyfriend makes me sleep on the dining room floor.
Okay, that's sorta misleading. He has a Double (full size) bed, which is too small for both of us to rouster about in to our hearts content. We've tried. My cpap machine is NOT THE ISSUE. It's the size of his silly bed.
So, I drag out the futon and sleep on the dining room floor. Not my favorite solution, but it beats the hell out of driving home 30 miles at 3 am in the morning.
He swears if we make it to one year he'll buy a bigger bed.
I am addicted to my machine and can't sleep without it. But he's addicted to his tempurpedic bed and can't sleep in MY BIG QUEEN SIZE BED because he's a spoiled girly-man who misses his foam mattress.
LOL,
Babs
I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

Either get her an education or get yourself a lawyer.
I used to tell my husband that he snored terribly and momentarily stopped breathing at times. His reply was that it would serve him right if he died in his sleep. Well he didn't do that, but he did die of a stroke at the age of 55 with no known risk factors. I was the one with the CPAP but we both should have had one. Maybe I should change my username to brokenhearted.
