What I am wonder is by having your hose hang in such a fashion as that does it help with rainout? With the hose being pointed in a curved position and down like that would make me think that rainout's would be more common???
Again another newbie question.. Thanks..

It is difficult for water to climb up an incline... so the theory is that if the hose runs vertical or semi-vertical for a section of the run to the mask that it will reduce chances of water actually reaching the mask.
I have yet to setup anything like this. For the moment I place a towel over the headboard, run the hose behind and up over the headboard to my mask. The hose does have a vertical run and so far has worked well. I tried a few nights with the hose under the covers with me but find the "over the headboard" solution less fussing. I figure the less fussing with the hose the more sleep I can potentially get.

The HOSE over the headboard or hanger doesn't make much difference in rainout -BUT- having a cover or heated hose is a BIG help.............. GOOD luck with your treatment!MichelleFL wrote:I found this post and the idea is great!

It seems like having a big u-shape at the bottom would contribute to "bong effect" whereas everything would have to pass through a pool of water (depending on how much condensation there is, obviously). I'd also be concerned about it draining into the machine if the hose goes up from the machine to the hanging area.
