Honestly, I can't believe how much product he sends out at no charge -- but I know he is excited about his discovery and is anxious to share his success with others!!!! For him it made the difference in compliance and non-compliance and he's still young enough that the damage OSA has likely done is not as much as some of the rest of us.....(I won't say aged.... )

Couldn't agree more!!!! After over 30 years of bad sleep, for me, good sleep is priceless!!!!!

cheers

I Agree with Goose & Being one of the OLD-AGE - - Cheap-old-fart's

If you think the product is to HIGH$$$ add 22/3 volume of 100% alcohol making it last three times as long......

I use the FIRST dispenser Bret had which was an in-line attachment to the hose and even one drop is overkill on some of the fragrances so those I thin down..........

Brets NEW Paper Pads are a GREAT IDEA --- Rather than caring the bottles or inline dispenser I can put a drop on the pad place it in a plastic bag and put them in my traveling bag and place a pad in the EMPTY humidifier ---
((( I KNOW THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE -SO- Be warned it could be BAD for you But you are in charge!)))

Spend what you want BUT a good sleep is worth every penny!!!

You guys are too much.

As for costs, the business model includes our best attempt to deliver as much value to the customer as possible, particularly when it comes to refills because that's how we are the most profitable--so we want people to be happy with the products and stock up on high-quality but value-priced refills. That said, this is a relatively high-cost, "luxury" product that may not fit every budget (sorry about that).

Bert--I won't touch your suggestion about putting a paper pad in a dry humidifier chamber. Can I just ignore it without offending you? Actually, that's probably a fantastic idea, especially for chambers (like mine) that have a metal bottom.... I might need to try that.

EDITED: The easiest way to dispense from the sample bottles is to take off the lid, place a pad on the top, and give it a shake. That ought to be enough for most people. If not, repeat. There should be enough aromatic in the vial for 5+ shakes. If your nose is particularly sensitive, there is a little dauber on inside of the vial cap that can be used to dispense mini-drops of aromatic onto the pad.

I don't get OFFENDED - I think your products are the GREATEST....... I had a problem CUTTING a DROP in half... Just to strong for me? I use a glass dauber and putting the paper pads on the metal plat in the humidifier.

Having a handful of bottles that need to be inspected while traveling is a PAIN.... SO -NOW- with the paper pads in a small plastic bag I can carry 14-24 ea without the little bottles.
NOTE: The lotion you have is also GREAT!!!!

Is there a reason not to just put a drop on the paper filter pad instead of using an external pad?

A few reasons: Air filter material typically contains one or more synthetic fibers. Aromatics in liquid form (especially essential oils) tend to have a solvent effect in physical contact with plastics, paint, varnish, etc. As a result, most manufacturers recommend against placing any aromatic substance in contact with equipment (and doing so may void warranties). This also may release things you don't want to be breathing. Also, diffusion rates will vary widely from material to material.

External pads are made from inert materials designed for the diffusion of aromatics at an optimum rate for the application. While looks may be somewhat deceiving, there's quite a bit of R&D behind the products.

Well, I got my new machine AND the samples today. Strong smelling little buggers, but I figure that's kinda how they're supposed to be. Thanks so much for the samples.

For those who have been asking, not only is this offer still open but I just got some samples in stock so it will be much easier and faster for me to fill sample requests!

Also, I am trying to line up DMEs / therapists who would be willing to give out free PurSleep product samples to patients (preferably during the new patient setup process). The samples will consist of four aromatic samples packed in vials, diffusion material, a new type of diffusion stand, and a nice brochure and will be available in about 4 weeks. I am trying to estimate demand for the free samples so please send interest emails to me at support@pursleep.com or sales@pursleep.com.

Thanks for all those who have contacted me about the sample offer. It is still open to anyone who wants to sign up (see the first post for details).

After quite a bit of work, I've concluded that the pre-scented pads aren't going to work very well, primarily because essential oils aren't compatible with even the best plastic bag materials and packaging pre-scented pads in foil wrappers or the like is not feasible at this time.

So I've decided to use glass perfume tester bottles (with enough undiluted aromatic to last several nights each) along with unscented compressed cellulose pads. It's taking a bit of time to get materials from suppliers and get samples in stock so please be patient! There's a fairly long line of people waiting but I think you'll be happy when this finally comes together.

Finally, I have very little feedback from people who received the pre-scented pads. If you could take a minute and let me know if they worked I'd appreciate it, primarily so I know whether to re-send bottled samples.

I really liked the Strawberry 'prescented' pad that I was sent with some of the samples in the small 'vials'.
(I've always been a 'sucker' for the scent of strawberries.)

The 'paradise' scent kind of reminds me of a scent from some medcine that I've taken at one time or other. Just can't remember what it was though.

I'll be trying the other scents in the next week. So far, I'd have to say that it's rather nice having the scent present when I'm trying to fall asleep with the CPAP since I seem to have problems adjusting to my CPAP machine.

It's also amazing how just a little amount of the scent on the 'pads' will fill my bedroom with the aroma as well. But then again, that may be partly due to the fact of the amount of air that's purposely 'leaked' from the Swift LT nasal pillows that I use.

I've been doing a little search in Wikipedia on Aromatherapy and discovered that:
Jasmine is used as an aphrodisiac
Rose is used as an aphrodisiac
Sandalwood oil is used as an aphrodisiac
Ylang-ylang oil is used as an aphrodisiac
There might be OTHER!!
SO I would like for "PurSleep" to use more of these GREAT oils.............

After a couple of attempts, I still haven't received the samples...
