The flashing blue light happened to me a while back - turned out to be power to the humidifier. It wasn't plugged in properly but the blower was attached to it. I'd forgotten to add that goofy power thingie to the brick.....

I have to cover the darned things at night -- they're bright enough to light up the room!!!

Oh well....
cheers

my Respironics Heated Humidifier malfunction and flashing blue light ...

The water is same and cold after one night (7-8 hours. I set in '2' )
Respironics Remstar M series CPAP with A-Flex ( 2008/11 from CPAP.COM)

PS: another friend met same problem and his CPAP was odered in 2008/8.

I wonder if there were quality issue of Respironics Heated Humidifier in that batch.
if there were quality issue, Respironics should re-call that batch.

Just want to say; thanks for the thread...my humidifier started flashing the K-mart special this AM and of course the owners manual and respironics. com were no help, but there was plenty of info here...no solution yet, but was a great starting point...will be whining to my provider on Monday.

Why does nothing ever break Monday-Friday between the hours of 8-5 Central?

I think I have one of the better local DME's. I took my machine in when the lights were flashing. The RT said that it is usually due to malfunction of the humidifier. Changed mine out with no charge.

Don't know why the post posted as "guest" when I had registered prior to making the post...oh, well...testing, *tap* *tap*...this thing on?
Before: Resmed Autoset Spirit - big, noisy, no humidifier, but reasonably effective, if I ignored the nasal problems.

After: Respironics REMstar Pro M Series CPAP with A-Flex, Humidifier, and SmartCard - you'll have to pry it from my cold dead nose
