Review of the NEW Resmed Swift LT Nasal Interface
I offered the other day to issue a review of the Swift LT as soon as we received them in stock. The Swift LT has arrived and I had a few minute to work with it. I am going to do an initial review based upon my initial observation and then tomorrow after I have a chance to sleep with it I will return with a more detailed review of the new Resmed Nasal Interface.
1. Upon first examination of the Swift LT I was surprised at the packaging. It is not packaged in the same manner we have come to expect Resmed to package their mask. The nice case that the Swift II is packed in has been replaced by a drawn string pouch.
2. My initial thought from looking at the package was, “this is a copy of the Fisher & Paykel Opus 360.” The nasal pillow that comes attached to the headgear is even protected the same way as the Opus 360.
I then excitedly open the packaging and begin to try on the unit, adjust the headgear and attach it to a CPAP for initial observations.
1. Immediately upon trying on the Swift LT I realize that this isn’t a copy of the Opus 360.
a. The nasal pillows fit me at a totally different angle than the Opus pillow fit me. The angle that the Opus fits into my nose was always a bit uncomfortable to me. The Swift LT felt great the minute it was adjusted to fit. As a matter of fact, I would say it is initially more comfortable than the Swift II.
b. The headgear is of the quality we have come to expect from Resmed. It is very similar to the Swift II headgear with the exception of the strap on the back of your head is adjustable with Velcro instead of a clip. I found it easier to adjust than the Swift II. I also found the entire headgear to be more comfortable that the Opus 360. One of my complaints about the Opus was that in the morning I woke up with strap marks on my face. I never had this with the Swift II and from the look and feel of the Swift LT I will assume that will be the case with this mask. Tomorrow I will know for sure.
2. I connected it up to a CPAP running at my prescribed pressure and I immediately notice the decrease in noise coming from the mask. Customers often ask me about the how loud a CPAP is and I often tell them they should really be concerned with how loud the mask is instead. If I had a complaint about the Swift II it would be the amount of noise it makes. My wife has the same complaint. This was always one area where the Opus excelled over the Swift II. The Opus was significantly quieter than the Swift II. I can tell you from my initial experience that the Swift LT is quitter than either the Opus 360 or the Swift II, significantly quieter than the Swift II.
3. One thing I can tell you is that I will not be connecting the hose over the top of my head. I cannot stand wearing the Opus that way and will not even try the Swift LT that way. I like the hose hanging loose and it appears that I will not have any trouble using in this fashion.
Tomorrow I will get back with you and let you know what I think after a night on the Swift LT. If you have questions at this point or have questions you would like me to answer tomorrow after using it for a night please leave them here and I will do my best to answer you.

It's hard to take your review very seriously when you are selling the stuff.
Don't get me wrong, I have high hopes for the new mask and intend to try it out myself ... but I just can't take your review in any way other than a marketing pitch.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I have always had STRAP MARKS on my face from the Swift 11, I even use the cheek pads on the straps... You must be a very rare case of NEVER having any marks or dents on your face from the straps I have a small, narrow face and I also have been folding a piece of my husband's old t-shirt and placing it under the cheek pads to try to get some extra relief that way..
I noticed in the new Swift LT, it has a curved strap on it and so there goes more dents and wrinkles, discomfort added to it, this is why I haven't ordered it
I am really curious as to why the maker of this didn't remove the face straps and design it like the Comfort lite 11's, but way smaller of course. The straps on the Swift 11 lay on my cheek bones and it is very close to my eyes, as I have high cheek bones...
I am not trying to knock the new Swift lt, I just think they should have taken all of these things into consideration while they we're redesigning it, i'm sure they have read all the complaints on the STRAPS here on our forum, anyways htey have already made the change so I don't know if I will order it or not, I might just keep using my Comfore Lite 2, and my Headrest!
There is my 2 cents on the old and new Swift's and I really hope this didn't offend you but we all need to be heard here!

Having a customer relationship with any vendor, who would you rather work with? The guy who just sells the stuff, or someone who takes the time to try it out, examine it and offer his best opinion of its implementation. Whether you buy sporting goods, a car or medical gear; the more knowledgeable the seller is about his product and the target client, the more likely he is to have satisfied clients who get what they need, rather than just what he has to sell.
Keep the reviews coming.

Thanks for the review. I would agree that a seller that intimately knows their products is someone I would much prefer to buy from then someone that does not. Plus masks are such an individual thing that I am going to be interested in the range of reviews that people give on the Swift LT. Considering the popularity of the Swift II, and what we've already been to read tabout changes the manufacturer has made that addresse the issues that users have had with it, I'm sure it's going to be a very popular product...that still needs more improvements like just about every other product.
Looking forward to reading about your experiences tonight....

I received and used the new Swift LT last night.
For me, it was a big imporvement over the original ( I never had the II) and the Opus.
Although I liked the concept, I could never get the Opus adjusted to not hurt my nose or leak.
This new Swift is very quiet, the pillows are very well designed and very soft and comfortable, the most comfortable pillows I have used.
It seems Resmed took the original idea (Opus and the other one I can't remember) and improved it......

sidesleepers
John,
The Swift LT was developed specificly for side sleepers. I am slide sleeper and now have used it for 2 nights with excellent results.

Anyone Else try Swift Lt and have a review
Just wondering of anyone else has had a chance to try the Lt and if so what has been your experience with it?
