.....I've got a sneaking feeling sawinglogs works for puresleep.....especially with his little link injection into his post.

Surprised he went through all the trouble to make an account to argue it.

Yes, of course! why should we all struggle through life with Cpap, when there is a little pill, or a mouthpiece that will do the trick. Nonsense! the answer is Compliant Cpap use! Maybe some MILD cases of OSA could benefit from mouthpieces, but the real remedy is Cpap! If someone shows me some clinical data that points to oral appliances as the cure, then I would consider it.

LOL! No, I have nothing to do with PS. I'm a computer programmer in southern California (see? as a geek, I put links on many things).

At any rate, I never snored until I had my thyroid removed. That's when my snoring began. It drove my wife nuts. I decided to try the PS device and lo-and-behold--it worked. Before I bought it, I lurked around in this forum looking for opinions/reviews. Satisfied with what I read, I gave it a try.

That's all it took for me to stop snoring (YMMV).

wow, i just read all 14 pages of this...i'm on vacation at a hotel, and saw a commercial for this device...so i jumped on my laptop and googled "puresleep reviews"...this site came up, so i figured i'd find at least a few good reviews buried in the thread...

I understand the spammer thought on things like this, but how frustrating to try to find info only to see any info is slammed constantly

I understand today with internet marketing, you really have to be careful because 89% of what you read can be biased, based on affiliate sales...

I'm grateful that i'm able to sort through the junk and found some info I needed

1. may cause problems or discomfort with your teeth
2. may work for snorers, but if you have apnea - and don't know it, it could cause a problem
3. worked great for some people, not so great for others
4. dental devices are darn expensive, and i'm not ready to put out that kind of money

me..was hoping to find some decent answers, because my poor husband has to put up with my snoring....

i did see this was a cpap board, but had hoped there was a good relevant discussion on this topic so i might be able to make an informed decision...most of the other posts that come up in google are biased reviews, and i wanted to see more of a good discussion on the matter

am i a guest..yes, why would i register for a board that i am only going to use once..? anyway, maybe seeing that when people are looking for information after seeing a commercial, google seems to be pointing to this board as a possible site with information..

cheers to all, and i appreciate the people who took the time to write teh information...i'm not thinking this is for me, because i'm worried about the teeth problems...though the suggestion the one guy had about the $5.00 mouthguards may be a place for me to start and see if it helps

I sleep very well, and am rested when i sleep - so don't think apnea is an issue for me, while my husband isn't sleeping well and heads out to his recliner many nights to avoid the snoring...this makes me feel badly, so i am looking for a simple solution to help him be able to stay in bed.

Kindly, Deb (waves from Walt Disney World while on vacation with my son)

I just ran across this board. I haven't read any of it, except the last page or two. I used to be a loud snorer, and saw an ad and tried pure sleep. Although it took a few days for me to get used to the thing, it really stopped my snoring completely. Initially my lower teeth felt a little funny when I first woke up, like they've been pushed a little where they didn't want to go, but it didn't last, and I went to the dentist a couple of weeks ago and all was well with my teeth. I am really glad I tried it -- it's nice to be able to sleep with my wife! It does not surprise me that some people might have trouble with it, but I did not and am a very satisfied customer.

(Post script from the "Guest" who just posted). Someone above mentioned a risk if you have sleep apnea. I recall when I filled out the PS online questionnaire when ordering that they would not sell PS to you if you had been diagnosed with the kind of sleep apnea that your brain is causing (as opposed to the kind caused by your mouth and throat). If it was the non-brain-caused sleep apnea (resulting from what your mouth and throat do while you sleep), which is how it is with the great majority of people who have some sort of sleep apnea, then it's not a problem.

I tried one and it hurt my teeth so bad that I had to stop. My wife did say it helped my snoring but I still stopped breathing at times as I have SOSA. I didn't use one for long but it was already beginning to come apart so I don't see them lasting all that long used daily. IMOP I think they are a waste of money but if they help some stop snoring that dont have OSA than go for it.

I just purchased a puresleep device last night. I was seen by a specialist who told me that even though I stop breathing at times I should not worry about my condition. I felt terrible. I have had a few partners in my lifetime. All have told me that I snore. Some would elbow me, pinch me nose or just sleep on the couch. Lately I have been waking up in a jolt or actually waking from the sound of my own snoring. Yes it gets worst when I am sick. I am a mouth breather. Some mornings I wake so dried up that I need to drink some water. I feel tension in my chest as if I had been coughing or shouting. Not enjoyable at all. But the specialist just sent me away.

My dad suffered from severe snoring and was never told that he had a problem. Died of heart problems at the young age of 72. Damned if that is going to happen to me. The question I was hoping to have answered is does the darn thing work or not? Lots of politics going on here. Most of the guest are like me. Google sent us straight to your site. Really hoping someone out there can help. I will post with results as soon as I try the appliance. Much luck to all that are as desperate for some relief and sleep.

It may work for some, it definitely will not work for many.

I think the big question for you is if you can tolerate wearing it, how will you know that it is effectively treating your sleep-disordered breathing?

First of Snoreguy, you might want to get your facts straight before spouting off about another company. If you check your information, Pure Sleep is not sold over the counter. It is also not advertised for sleep apnea. There is a medical questionnaire done at the time of ordering that specifically ask medical questions pertinent to the product purchase. Sleep Apnea is an automatic decline. Second as far as customer service, if you listen to the recording, it clearly states, press 1 for first time orders, press 2 for all other calls. If people would take the time to listen, if they pressed 2, they would get a live person to answer their questions. I'm sure there are a number of people who also purchase your product that can say a lot of bad things also. Not everyone is going to be happy all the time. What works for one may not work for another. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but at least honestly know your facts before given your opinion to others.

I saw the commercial on TV tonight, so I found this site when I googled it. I have sleep apnea. I was given the full mask version. The REMstarplus (am I a spammer for REMstar?), let me put it this way, I told my doctor i'd rather die in my sleep than wear this thing every night. (if you don't hear from me again.....)

I was told about the dentist version, but never really looked into it. Says it only helps 20% of cases and very expensive, so when I saw this I thought I would read up on it. I figured it might be a cheaper way to try almost the same thing. After reading some posts, I guess it might help for snoring, but not really for sleep apena. I guess it is hard to weed out the spammers and people who really try products that work.

But speaking of stuff that works, I tried this great stuff Viagra before I go to sleep & I find I don't roll out of bed anymore!

But seriously, I guess most people here just use the CPAP machines? I guess I will look around the site and look for more thoughts. I know surgery is an option?

and hello from Canada!

I used a Pure Sleep device for awhile trying to stop snoring.. It seemed to work OK.. I then had a sleep study and was told I needed a CPAP machine which I am reluctantly using today. I pursued a second opinion from an ENT Dr. and I was glad I did. The Dr. diagnosed a deviated septum and I had a surgery to fix it. I will soon be trying to sleep without the CPAP. The Dr. that put me on the CPAP was a Dr. that ran a sleep lab and I felt they were trying to scam insurance companies. They didn't get all of the numbers the first go around and set up a second sleep study that they could bill for. The sleep tech mentioned that she only works when they have clients and that work was slow the past months. The Dr. for the sleep lab also did not want me to go and have a second opinion.. That was bull-shiz!! I am planning to get another Pure Sleep device today for when I start sleeping without the CPAP . I hope it works!.. I recommend not over exaggerating your bit when you form the device. My jaw was sore and possible dislocated a couple of times the first Pure Sleep device I made. I reformed it which you are not suppose to do and then my dog ate it so that made me decide to either get a sleep study or buy another device. Today I am buying another Pure sleep Device and I am glad I had the surgery. Sorry if this post is hard to read I don't like typing! If this helps anyone make better decisions. I would be happy! We need to keep an eye on health care scams!! Thanks! GregD48

Pure Sleep is pure scam.

It "stops snoring" by stopping sleeping.

And the refund is also bogus.
