My last month's AHI average has been 5.4 but that includes a severe respiratory infection that required 2 bouts of prednisone and antibiotics. That would be 100% compliance except for last week's one night PSG.
I'm back down to a weekly average of 4.1 and expect that should go back down even lower as I continue to recover from that infection.

AHI average is 2.1 since the beginning of treatment (June 07). AI=0 about 60% of the time

Your question made me look.
My average for the last 3 months is 0.1 AHI. That is not a typo. Things improved with the Headrest mask, and I get really great numbers with a zero AHI more often than not, and very low otherwise. I have that M series auto bi-pap tuned to the right pressures, apparently. No large leaks ever, and average leak rate is about right for the mask at that pressure. I don't think I ever sleep on my back, but if I did, all of the above would change.
I am one lucky cpapper! Finding cpaptalk made all the difference in my cpap therapy. Thanks again, everyone.

You could stand Software and a FF Mask, basically you are without treatment, probably due to mouthleaks. JimColinP wrote:Mine is in the high teens if I'm lucky, otherwise the low twenties.

I think Jim is right, you are quite likely leaking your treatment out your mouth.Goofproof wrote:You could stand Software and a FF Mask, basically you are without treatment, probably due to mouthleaks. JimColinP wrote:Mine is in the high teens if I'm lucky, otherwise the low twenties.

RE: My AHI average,
When I first started out with my ResMed Vantage, my average AHI was between 3.0 and 4.0 and never under 1.0.
In November '06 I got the Remstar "tank" Auto w/ CFLEX and used it with CFLEX off for about a year and averaged AHI of 0.3 to 0.4 (an order of magnitued lower than ResMed). Then right before x-mas '07 I decided it was time to test out the CFLEX option and used it with CFLEX during all of January of this year. What I discovered during the last couple of weeks in December was that exhalation relief required that I raise my min and max pressure by about 2 cm in order to keep my AHI under 1.0, otherwise it jumped up to 2.0 or 3.0. So for the month of January, I managed an AHI of about 0.7 using CFLEX and raising my min and max pressure by 2 cm as comapred to without CLFEX.
I sold the ResMed last summer and got the newer M series Auto w/ AFLEX but kept it in the closet as backup until this month. I have been trialing it w/ AFLEX and have tweaked the min max pressure back down 1 cm comapred to CFLEX setting and my AHI is averaging back around 0.3 to 0.4 ... so for me, using AFLEX or no exhalation relief works better than CLFEX. AFLEX is more comfortable so far however. So far this month I have again started getting a couple of 0.0 AHI per week ... like last night

Next month I will try CPAP mode w/ CFLEX and the month after I will try CPAP mode w/o exhalation relief. I'll right up a review in May.
EDITED: to add that a good mask interface is essential to steady leak rate required for low AHI numbers
