In fact their lineage comes from MesoAmerica as I understand it, not China. So you are fairly right on about the Chihuahua experiment ... except that maybe the Chihuahua was the one that went wrong . Mars does not constantly yip yap at everything/everyone and he will grow to be about 2 or 3 times as big. He is also hairless over most of his body which is why we put a shirt on him. He is a really cool puppy (except that he is in his chewing and house training stage right now ).

Dogs - first they get sunburn like humans, then they get fashion clothing like humans. Just wait - they'll start getting degrees and putting the rest of us out of work by working for less money and buying 3 foot tall condos in Florida. And no, I'm not doggist...
