Kind of expensive for a non-data-capable (basic) PAP machine....doesn't even have C-Flex.
I think I'll pass on that one.
A PB 420 G would probably be a better deal.

Looks like another cheap useless compliance only CPAP machine ... what a waste

Looks like they found a way to use up their stockpile of humidifier tanks from the Legacy models.....these look identical or nearly so.

Seems like it would have been more logical to just keep making the Legacy series. There's probably still a gazillion "Plus" models available yet....if you want non-data-capable machines.

Looks like ANOTHER one of those machines that are good for the DME's $$$$ and bad for the patient.

Maybe the number of buttons wouldn't be a problem, if the DME's didn't steal the operating manuels, for resale on the net. Guest's company will only catch the uninformed, looks like another booming year for poor machines. Jim

Ditto to everything said after Guest's post.

Now if that machine were for sale in regular stores and pharmacies without requiring a prescription, maybe there'd be some use for it.

Nah, on second thought...without data recording capability... not even that way.

Created to appeal to DMEs...plain and simple. And cheap.

looks like a nice fish tank air pump----dme will make a fortune on this one--the new plus

Tim Wright

Is this new design?

Post by Tim Wright » Thu Dec 20, 2007 9:36 am

Apparently this is the same name of one of their first CPAPs. The company claims they designed it from the ground up, using technology from other devices, but a new design for the tank --- it didn't look like a Legacy tank to me. It has minimal compliance capabilities for calling in compliance data. --- but what does anyone other in the low-end anyway.

I don't know why I didn't also check our host's site last night...... < beats head against the wall >

They have the same one for about $150 less ($158.05 to be specific)

In any case, I still stand behind my remarks.
Other than a little more angle on the top of the humidifier, it looks practically identical.....including the base.

Message to manufacturers:

This therapy needs MORE data-capable ("smart") machines.....NOT more "dumb" ones!
STOP IT!

I've seen it at cpapsupply -- where it's outrageously priced! They're gouging! Other sites are more reasonable. This is a like a Model T Ford -- a basic blower with basic function.

I don't think we should expect anything more when you shop around and get it cheap Can't wait for the after the holidy fire sales!!! I"m going into this business

Boy! Who would buy this? I agree that it would look good with a goldfish in the tank, though :<)

My Respironics rep told me today that they are hiding 20 golden tickets randomly in all of the SleepEasy boxes shipped from the factory...the winners get a tour of the manufacturing factory in Pittsburgh and get to complain to the designers about there being no data capture, etc.

Did they promice that the designers would listen?
