[quote="tomjax"]I do not remember what my insurance paid back in 96, but O am sure iot was less than today.

I do know how much my cousin paid though.
He is very poor without insurance and no way for a study.
His mom told me about his condition and I invited him down and hookoed him up to m remstar apap- 6 16 and got lots of apneas.
I GAVE him my backup machine set to 12 and a spare mask.
Cost him nothing and he is doing great.

I Know this was a no no, but I did what I thought was right.

The local hospital where this was done billed my Insurance $2800 for the study and almost $800 to interpret it. After the provider discount, BCBS paid 80%, leaving me a balance of about $600. My machine, mask and supplies cost me $98, so its $700 total out of pocket. The way I see it its a buck a night for less than two years for not feeling half dead all the time and not having a heart attack. Well worth it.

PS, All that being said, I'm sure glad "the spirits did it all in one night" and I did not have to go back for a second nights study!
