sticking with treatment pays off - My story

Post by Andrew » Mon Apr 25, 2005 10:16 am

I have the swift nasal pillows and after my first week I was on the brink
of giving up due to the fact that my nostrals were hurting every night, I was even getting a raw spot inside my nose and it was making the pain even worse (pretty hard to fall asleep with pulsating pain on the inside of your nose, I had tried all three pillow sizes, nasal gel and spray, Ky lube, abmbesol to try and numb the pain, but what I think did it was the fact that I stuck with it for another 2 weeks and now my nose is fine I sleep like a baby and have so much more energy thanks to the treatment, so even though it can be hard at times getting use to something new especially with pain being involved trust me it will go away, I now use the medium pillows and a little KY to lube the tips before bed and Im comfortable so stick with your treatments people especially newcomers is does work and you can get use to just about any of the sometimes bothersome side effect that these CPap machines and their respective mask and nasal pillow dish out.

Way to go, Andrew!! You are a prime example of someone who is motivated enough to put up with the discomfort and "strangeness" of getting started with this treatment, but figures out a way to make it work. It's great to hear success stories! Keep up the good work and keep us informed. We can all use inspiration.

This therapy WORKS! (But only if you DO it)

I second the Bravo. I like the Swift as well and alternate it with the Activa on nights my nostrels are sore. I think insurance should allow for initallyh getting two types of interfaces to alternate and they would have more compliance.
