This is an open forum, and I feel my comments were very relevent.
Censorship isn't tolerated very well here.
But the funny thing is that one of my posts was deleted by "SAG" a.k.a. "StillAnotherGuest" (or perhaps one of his blind supporters), just TODAY in this very topic! . So please don't lecture me on "respect". TYVM
Let it go Vader, haven't you noticed how much nicer it has been around here since he and all those other troublemakers from down under have been gone?

lol....pot.kettle.black. I have been informed by several posters (non down under ones) of your troublemaking reputation.
Split-city,

I have to tell you that that comment is like a red rag to a bull. Don't expect any rational nor reasonable nor considered response - do expect the unexpected.

Good luck

two CollegeGirls myself, so yeah, the senseless bludgeoning of CG kinda struck a personal chord.
I don't recall any senseless bludgeonings, but I do recall more than one CollegeGirl-like hissy-fit being pitched, with great fanfare.

However, since you have commented on things striking a "personal chord," when, SAG (in your infinite wisedom) do you see a bludgeoning as ever making sense? When you, or yours, are the ones weilding the cudgel, perhaps?

Seems as though a bashing is always OK from the perspective of the basher, and there is an expectation that the bashed will just accept the bashing in silence. News flash... ain't gonna' happen!
I don't have to agree with everything a person does to continue to admire the enormous amount of good the person does.

I didn't think using the "Delete Spam" button to knock out posts deemed mean-spirited or ugly was right, but that doesn't diminish my high regard for SAG.
I think that RestedGal is right... there is lots of room to respect a person (any person) and his/her helpful contributions even if one does not agree with everything the person says. This does not, however, give any individual special priviledge to censor others or, hold oneself up as holier-than-thou. If postings are still being deleted, (as Vader suggests) then a big problem still exists.

OK, fair enough. Hey, I'll admit that I have twice as many faults as the next guy, but I hope you'll understand that while my actions may appear "holier-than-thou" to some, that most assuredly was never the intention or motivation.

I apologize for any disruption I may have caused, including to frequie (in looking back, I could have gone about that a whole lot better, but see the fault thing above), and hope that people will accept that apology in the spirit that it is given.

Aromatherapy may help CPAP compliance. Lavender, Mandarin, Chamomile, and Sweet Marjoram aid in relaxation and sleep. Nature's Gift has these and a blend of all four called SleepEase.

Haven't posted for a while, or actually been to the site due to getting my son (one and only child) off to college, and wallowing in misery every since! (He's doing great; mom (me) is not!)

Anyway---But I just wanted to jump in and say my thanks to SAG as well. He was a tremendous help to me, as I know he's been to others!

Thanks, SAG!

Pam

I really hope the new forum has the capability to make posts from people you tag as annoying in a different colour so you can ignore them more easily. I'm thinking like a white or a light gray so you have to actually prepare yourself for the comments. This would all be configurable in your profile page.

Then heaps of people wouldn't ever have to read what I post.

Anyway, thanks SAG for your influence here. I much appreciate someone who can say things and not have to preface them with "in my experience" all the time.

Absolutely, then the "wanna be" censorship police wouldn't have to decide for us, as to what we should or should not read

I would prefer a filtering device even more so.
