Thank You to SAG

Post by Guest » Wed Aug 22, 2007 8:49 am

Hello SAG,

I wanted to Thank You for helping me sometime ago with my case. I have since had the third sleep study (with the PAP treatment) and the results are:
1) Severe OSAHS (mostly hypopneas). The titration pressure was increased from 7 to 11cm.
2) Insomnia (I can fall asleep but cannot maintain it).
3) Comment on sleep study: "Alpha intrusions and severe sleep fragmentation".
4) MSLT results found only daytime sleepiness. Fell asleep 3/4 trials, and no REM periods.

No questions about above.

Just wanted to let you know that you were right about: having other sleep issues, the insomnia, needing another sleep study, etc.

It really helps to have a experienced, knowledgable, and reasonable person such as you weigh in with your comments and suggestions. Your sense of humor helps, too.

Thanks againg, and best wishes to you.
Mary

SAG has always been a great addition to this forum and I for one sure do miss his comments when he's not around much. Thanks from me too, SAG, for all the help you provide on this forum from time to time!

Oh sure, he's a sweetheart of a guy, as long as we don't count all his efforts of censoring the posts of Snoredog, and other members here.

Nothing personal, Vader, you have the right to your opinion.

If people have something positive or informative to say about my case or SAGs handling of it, then please feel free to post it here. If otherwise, please consider posting it on one of the old threads, of which there are several, about conduct, moderatiing, and censoring, etc. on the forum.

Have some respect for the living dead.

This is an open forum, and I feel my comments were very relevent.
Censorship isn't tolerated very well here.
But the funny thing is that one of my posts was deleted by "SAG" a.k.a. "StillAnotherGuest" (or perhaps one of his blind supporters), just TODAY in this very topic! . So please don't lecture me on "respect". TYVM

The man's a treasure, no doubt about it.

Mary, that was so nice of you to post an update and recognize SAG's contribution to helping you figure out what's been going on with your sleep problems and treatment.

I don't have to agree with everything a person does to continue to admire the enormous amount of good the person does.

I didn't think using the "Delete Spam" button to knock out posts deemed mean-spirited or ugly was right, but that doesn't diminish my high regard for SAG. Johnny Goodman resolved that anyway:

Think you LEFT out a key word there like "HE" deemed mean spirited or ugly because Johnny already said there wasn't anything in those SAG "deleted" posts seen as mean or ugly.

But that is pretty hard for anyone else to determine since they were deleted as SPAM.

I'm just thankful he doesn't sit at the bottom of Cheyenne Mountain with a key around his neck.

Let it go Vader, haven't you noticed how much nicer it has been around here since he and all those other troublemakers from down under have been gone?

You're quite welcome.
Comment on sleep study: "Alpha intrusions..."
Whoa, where the heck did they come from?

Aromatherapy may help CPAP compliance. Lavender, Mandarin, Chamomile, and Sweet Marjoram aid in relaxation and sleep. Nature's Gift has these and a blend of all four called SleepEase.

I saw the subject and thought, "Why would somebody be thanking the Screen Actor's Guild on this forum?"

Doug.

Don't forget Pam (WearyOne) who had/has a similar course of insomnia/sleep fragmentation:

Hmmm, I'm changing image servers, remind me to fix those.

LOL, right! You, of course, know that I have two CollegeGirls myself, so yeah, the senseless bludgeoning of CG kinda struck a personal chord.

Anyway, back to Mary, if she's still running 45% sleep efficiency, and the remaining sleep is infused with alpha intrusion, that's a huge problem.

And you ain't gonna fix that with a trach.
