I was just thinking......Wader? Where is your picture? Now if RG can post her pic, you can certainly post yours, right?

Heidi,

I'd be happy to post my picture avatar and have several already formatted for that purpose, but as a result of an earlier "picture incident" involving another unnamed forum member (some of you know what I'm refering to) my wife has requested that I not post a picture. So I will honor her request and not post it.

It's a very fun topic and I'm glad to see so many have joined in to participate.
Sincerely,
wading thru the muck of the sleep study/DME/Insurance money pit!

Hey,

I must have been asleep at my desk when the "Picture Incident" happened. I am really in the dark about this one????

What is wrong with posting our pictures? I think its nice to see who we are talking to when we share our stories, etc. about SA.

Just wondering

I can't speak for Wader, but...

My ex-wife was extremely paranoid with regard to pictures on-line. She was convinced if I had any family pictures on the computer, I was just BEGGING to have some stalker decide to fixate on me (or worse, some pedophile fixate on my children).

Until she and I divorced, I didn't tend to have pictures on line.

Now, this probably bears little resemblance to Wader's situation, and I wouldn't presume to speak for him anyway, but there are people who don't like having such info out there, and I respect Wader's respecting his wife's wishes, whatever the reason.

Liam, who's never had anyone fixate on him... except a few thousand body lice once in college, but that's another story.

Liam,

Thanks for explaining.
Guess I am to old to worry about it and its been a very long time since I had a fixation on me.

I can understand though that people would be leary or is that "leerie"?

I can relate to the not posting on-line thing, I was looking for one of me to post, but all I could find had either my kids or my hockey players in them, and my wife made it perfectly clear to me that I would not be posting online any picture that showed our kids. Some people just aren't comfortable with that, apparently my wife included.

Oh, I totally agree about posting a picture with a child in it and I would feel the same way.

This is me...pre CPAP. What you can't see is my pride and joy 4 year old daughter.

After watching the story on Reggie White after he died (just after my wife's mom died, Nov. 2004) I decided I needed to be around a bit longer for my wife and daughter's sake, so I got hooked up!! No pun intended.

Thanks Reggie!!

All right, i finally found a picture of just me, no kids, but I can't figure out how to post it. I don't want to make it an avatar, I was trying to include it in this post, like the picture of Darth Vader someone else posted, or like SWS's picture.

Any words of advice on how to get it into a post? Like SWS, I don't really want ot change my avatar, I like my hockey logo.

Wow Check out that shirt!!

Tie-Dye was hot when I was a kid and now they are hot again,
when my kids are kids. My Mom said keep your clothes as you
will be able to wear them again (when will BellBottom jeans become
the rage again!). I guess she didn't count on me gaining the
extra poundage once I got married. I wonder why marriage causes
weight gain? It sure seems that to play a huge role in apnea as
when I was single, women didn't complain about the snoring.

What do you mean "when"? They are the rage again - sitting about as high (or as low) as your navel as well....

Gosh...even beyond the Bell Bottoms, does anyone remember those dumb jeans that had 2 zippers, one up each side, right over the legs, instead of just the one in the middle? I can't believe I used to love those things. (That was, until I was an adult and somebody told me they used to call them "drive in pants." Then, I was embarassed. Guess I was too naive when I was wearing the darned things!!!!)
