If more men read romance novels there'd be a whole lot less griping among lady friends.

Very possible. For me the issue was libido aka desire vs ability to perform. As I'm not diabetic or overweight I can safely attribute those changes to OSA - especially since they're dissaprearing now that I'm on CPAP through the night. Whether or not it was due to being overtired or a biochemical issue from disrupted sleep patterns - or both - is beyond my paygrade.arthuranxious wrote:I wonder if there are often concomitant factors, such as depression, poor circulation caused by obesity and/or diabetes, exhaustion etc. If we subtract those causes, we may find that there is a much smaller subset of untreated OSA patients with oxygen desaturation, for whom OSA alone produces erectile limitations.
I know that for myself it is impossible to quantify how much decrease in intimate activity is the result of stress, life issues, middle age and so forth and how much is due to decreased strength and firmness caused by OSA. I have never noticed a problem in that department but do not have the same performence at 50 that I had at 20... which is pretty universal.
Christy - I'd say from my own experience and the anecdotal evidence presented here from others you've got a good shot at improvement in the future
and if you don't, feel free to give me a call - wink wink, nudge nudge say no more guv.

Unless you grew up with sisters, men are pretty clueless as to how women really think LOL

I have come to believe it is the other way around. That is, stress/life issues/depression/obesity/exhaustion are not strictly concomitant with untreated OSA but are the results of untreated OSA.arthuranxious wrote:I wonder if there are often concomitant factors, such as depression, poor circulation caused by obesity and/or diabetes, exhaustion etc. If we subtract those causes, we may find that there is a much smaller subset of untreated OSA patients with oxygen desaturation, for whom OSA alone produces erectile limitations.

Well, I am happy to report that I have been able to stop several medications - blood pressure, cholesterol (statin's sux), and antidepressants since the CPAP works so well. I never told my doctor so I still get 6x100mg viagra a month - chopped up in quarters means I have a great sex life with a libido to match.
Now if I could find a partner....

He does have a pic ... he has an 80's hairstyle going on. It's more up to date than my 60's long hair pony tail ... although I recall the guy pony tail style did make a comeback during the 80's for a short while.Sergey45 wrote:You should start by putting picture into your profile.mhacker wrote:Well, I am happy to report that I have been able to stop several medications - blood pressure, cholesterol (statin's sux), and antidepressants since the CPAP works so well. Anyway ... prior to being diagnosed with OSA my doc had me on Viagra too. I got some serious side effects with it like vision issues, headaches, and other aches too . Since getting hosed up (pun intended ), I have no need for ED drugs at all ... all I really needed was a little increased air inflation for senor wood to retrun home .
