Thanks for the info!
I am also plump and have a big nose so this could be interesting. Is the second one they sent what they are now selling?

I will let you know when I get a reply.
Are you polish also??

I am also one of the first to trial this mask and make a report. Unfortunately for me, shortly after receiving it I developed 3 colds in 6 weeks (over the holidays). I didn't feel like messing with anything new, just wanted to have my old reliable Swift II. I am also pregnant and having some sleeping issues right now, so again, I just want the comfort of the old reliable.
Like others I felt there were pros and cons to the mask. It is lightweight, small and easy to care for. Not a bazillion parts like any mask made by ResMed. It works on a simple principle.
Cons are that it can be fiddly (which I must admit is for me a big reason why I haven't used it much--If I could just slip it on and go to sleep, like I can with the Swift II, I would probably use it every night. But being pregnant, I'm too darn tired at bedtime to mess with it.) Now, that is just me.
I know there are TONS of other users who are more patient than me who would not find this a problem. I'm one of those people for whome most masks just don't fit, and I have spent hours fiddling with some masks, never to meet with success due to my personal facial structure. That said, this mask is not one of those. It does fit, does work and I have worn it all night several times with little problems of leaking--once I get it on and settle in. But fine tuning it for me took a long time, time I'm not currently willing to spend due to the facts I stated above.
The other con for me is the pulsing it does with my bipap (the pressure goes down with exhale and it slightly deflates making a slight sound). I think if I used it for a long time I could get used to it, but I find it very distracting right now when trying to fall asleep.
So, that is my update on my thoughts about it. I think overall it is a spectacular product. It is unique, it works well and although it can be fiddly when fitting, it should do well for large numbers of people.
If your DME is willing to work with you, you will find that Circadience should be able to provide the mask through them too. It isn't available only thru the website. Since it is relatively new, it isn't going to be known by your DME unless you tell them about it and give them contact information.
I'm sorry to the circadience people that I turned out to be such a bag guinea pig. I should find out if they would like me to pass it on to someone else.

Jen, thanks for the comments!
The fact that it is "fiddly" would be a drawback for me. When I'm ready for bed I'm usually tired and don't feel like fiddling around. As a matter of fact, I always have a second mask ready to put on since I find even the Swift sometimes requires some fiddling and I don't have the patience in those circumstances. When my Swift needs new teflon tape and I find out after I get into bed, I just grab my Bravo or Quattro. If Quattro needs new batch of silicone putty, then I grab Bravo or Swift and so on.
Ah well ... one of these days I have to believe there will be a comfortable, easy to fit and effective mask!

ps and no, I'm not Polish but am European....

I wonder if, once you get used to it, you wouldn't have to do so much fiddling around? It does sound like a great option, and I'm most likely going to try and get it for my 6 month mask, though that won't be until May. I do like the Headrest, but the idea that it would be nice and light is very appealing to me.

Rose,
I think you are right that it would be less fiddly once you had it for a while. The first day I spent about an hour or more in the middle of the day adjusting the straps to try to find the perfect combo. When done, it fit well, with little problem and I was able to sleep without issue that night. However, in the morning the second day I noticed a red mark under my nose so determined to adjust the settings to try to eliminate that but still keep my seal, but I screwed it up and haven't taken the time to really spend time on adjusting it again--don't forget I'm pregnant and exhausted most of the time.
But, yeah, I think you could eventually find it quite simple. It is the introductory period that would be the most fiddly. And I do think they could refine it just a tiny bit more as I mentioned in one of my review posts.

I'd be interested in a free trial, too. I've tried a lot of different masks and know how to make them work. I'd love a mask that made me look like an elephant because I think elephants are cool .

Hiya, Folks.
I think my favourite animals are wombats, bears, pigs and elephants - not necessarily in that order. Some people don't like a wombat because he eats, roots and leaves (of course, this joke will mean nothing in North America, as 'root' means something QUITE different to the meaning here), but I really like them. I saw one the other day - I was on a steam train trip with my family when I saw one running around a paddock. In 53 years, many of them spent in our Aussie country, I've rarely seen one during the day, and never seen one running - that's why I like them.
Anyway, what in heck am I rambling on about? Oh, yes, that's right, elephants. I love 'em. i remember once being in Thailand watching some working elephants when a couple from the US came up. One of the male elephants did something that most males do - some of them VERY often, although sadly less so later in life, and the tourist woman said in a VERY loud voice, "Wow, Harry, that's bigger than you." She was right in several senses. It was a very impressive sight.
Now, I suspect that this mask can't do this for me (and I suspect that my partner would leave me if it did!!!!), but I would love to look like an elephant. Come on, cloth mask people, give an Aussie a try - and I promise to put elephants at the top of my animal love list - even higher than wombats. Unfortunately, I can guarantee that I won't be trying it if I have to pay full price unless I get a MUCH clearer view of its success.
Regards,
Rude GrizzlyBear

Hey, all,
I asked my DME to get set up with them, so my insurance would cover it. There is no profit margin for them, so her boss was not too happy with my request, but they agreed to do it. I'm hoping that this will be the answer for me. of course I thougt that with the Hybrid,...Activa...Comfortlite II, Soyola....You get the picture!
I'll let you how it works if I actually get one.
