Resmed Airsense 11 question

Post by Don.dbrw@gmail.com » Tue Apr 25, 2023 4:30 pm

I'm a long time CPAP user. I haven't posted in so long I had to register again! Still have my original Resmed S8 Compact. Recently my S8 on/off button stopped working so I had to plug/unplug to use. My wife has an Estate Sale business and has a house with an resmed 11. Since my S8 only works when I plug it in I can't get to the settings to see my pressure setting. I started the 11 at 4 to 20 range. It didn't seem enough so I upped ot to 8. I still think it needs to go higher. Do I just increase 1 level each night?
I have to say I already have better sleep. The S8 I would wake up numerous times with leaking mask. With the 11 I have not! I should have upgraded years ago.

I downloaded the mobile app but I get a message stating the serial number is already used. The previous owner passed away. I submitted a help at Resmed but no response yet. I did reset to factory and erased data.

Use OSCAR with the AirSense 11 machine.
It takes an act of God to get the serial number re-assigned to someone else and has to be done by the original dispensing DME....major hurdles.

Besides (assuming you have a full data AirSense 11 machine) what you can see using OSCAR runs circles around what you can get with the MyAir website information IF (big if) you can even get it re-assigned to you.

Oscar is a free program, downloadable to a computer--windows in particular.
Android users are SOL.
Regular, full size Sd cards, preferably not larger than 32G (I think . . . )

OSCAR isn't an app. It's a software program that needs to be run on a computer.
Yes, you will need a SD card but any SD card will work. Doesn't have to be fancy or expensive. I got mine at WalMart.
4 GB is more than sufficient in capacity but those smaller capacity cards are hard to find. Last time I got one it was a 16 GB Sandisk card. You might have an old card laying around somewhere.

If you don't have a SD card yet...there is some data available on the machine's LCD screen and that data is pretty much what the MyAir website thing shows.

Do you have the clinical/provider manual available (it has more detail than the typical user manual) and this manual explains how to access the data on the machine itself.
Here's the manual.

I had to do this yesterday. My husband’s machine malfunctioned. Fortunately I have an identical machine and a travel machine, so I was able to give him my machine to use while he waits for a replacement. Original DME was American Home Patient (now Lincare); his DME is Apria. I called Apria customer service and the representative reassigned it instantly and without question. All I had to have was the serial number and the device number. I was prepared for multiple phone calls and lots of back and forth. It was almost anti-climatic!

The doctor’s office told us it would be weeks before he would get a replacement. Apria just called and said he could pick up his machine today. If I’d known it was just going to be one day, I would not have gotten my machine reassigned. I’m hoping it’s as easy to get it reassigned to me.

Resmed replied. I have to give them some information on the deceased previous owner. I think I can get the information. I really don't want to have to take an SD card and plug it in my computer to read the data.

I think I need to up the minimum pressure a bit. Still, I'm amazed my mask doesn't leak like it did with the S8. I was waking up many times during the night and adjusting my mask.
