Can someone help me interpret this OSCAR DATA?

Post by DolmarKarl » Thu Dec 22, 2022 11:43 am

I have been having a lot of clear airway events recently so I decided to give OSCAR a go. I have EPR turned off specifically to try a mitigate those events. My perscribed pressure is 6 but as I get into deeper sleep, I have noticed that my pressure jacks up quite a bit with the autoset function. If I can provide any more screen shots that would help just let me know. Been on my CPAP for about a year but not quite dialed in to that life changing sleep that people tell me about. I want to get there. Thank you

Welcome to the forum.

Please review this thread for which graphs to including in your OSCAR reports. You have omitted needed graphs and included graphs not needed.

http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t1585 ... eview.html

wiki/index.php/Oscar:organize

Attachment storage here is precious and limited. Since your reports don't show what is needed they are taking up precious space.
Can you go to your profile and clean out your attachment storage to make room for more from you and others.
See this thread.

You have a ResMed machine.
These are the only graphs (on the right side) that we need to see right now. If we need something else we will ask. We still need the usual stuff on the left side.
You can get all these graphs in one screenshot.
Events
Flow rate
Pressure (not mask pressure)
Leak
Flow Limitations
Snore graph....only if very active and yours isn't all that active.

I took a look. I'm not an expert on OSCAR, just another learner. I noticed the blank area on your OSCAR report. About a month ago I started getting blank areas, sometimes most of the graph. I use AirSense 10 and a MacBook Air 2022. Like the Led Zeppelin song, there is a Communication Breakdown I have yet to figure out.

Best of luck with your therapy.

I believe for me, sometimes I put the chip back in incorrectly. i don't always know it at the time.

I have found that usually if I am carefully inserting and the AS11 has several (6-8?) rapid blinks in a row when inserting the chip I am usually ok for an entire night. tapping the screen after that to wake it up usually will then show a notification that it is loading the SD card and leave it along. Often a problem will show up then and there. (SD card error message). Sometimes not.

Thats my way of saying it is sometimes a bit wonky but just pay attention to the blinking blue light near the SD card insertion point.

I an orange light. Upon SD insertion it comes on for a few seconds, blinks rapidly, then off. The AirSense screen shows "preparing card" then back to Home of My Options menu.

I find it frustrating that from time to time (like this morning) when I haven’t had it in for a few days, I put it in to view the data and no pressure data. Really annoying because I didn’t get any error messages when I put the sd card in.

I really need to pay closer attention. Haven’t figured out the magic yet.
