Got an ASV machine to play with. What settings should I use?

So here is a question...

When I stop my ASV machine I noticed that unlike my AS10 where the drying fan runs for 20 minutes smoothly that the ASV machine seems to pulsate as it dries.

Could there be something amiss with the unit I have? It runs quietly, the unit runs smoothly and never pulsates when in use just pulsates when drying.

Anyone have similar behaviours?
Thanks

My sleep Doctor had me checked for the left ventricular ejection fraction <45% I was up around 60%. If you have a heart problem you should have this checked. Here is what there talking about. In particular, if you have a patient with symptomatic, chronic heart failure (NYHA 2-4) and with a reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF ≤ 45%), using ASV to treat their moderate to severe central sleep apnea syndrome may be harmful.

You shouldn't even notice that it's running unless you put the hose right up to your ear.

That's actually in debate, the study that indicated that was fatally flawed.

I guess my Doctor was playing it on the safe side cause I'm sure she read all that, better safe than sorry.

I don’t hear it at all but when I do put the hose up to my ears I can clearly hear the airflow pulsing (consistently) whereas my AS10 doesn’t do that at all. The machine otherwise, seems to work perfectly. Should I be concerned?

I wouldn't be concerned about the slight pulsing.

Yep the ASVs pulse as you describe

Just so I am clear:

When running it is smooth and when it’s in the drying mode it consistently will pulse the air until the machine shuts off after 20 minutes?

Interesting... I wonder why it does that and not just run a steady flow like other resmed machines would.

The pulsing is mostly undetectable but sometimes it pulses a little harder in cool down.

I assumed it was testing system pressure to determine if someone was attached to the mask, so as to restart treatment.

I thought the machines were always pulsing subtly to collect data for the machine algorithms but you know what people say about assumptions.

What would be a fair price for a barely used Aircurve 10 ASV?
