Brain Fog & Tired
Brain Fog & Tired
My numbers seem good, to me, but I just don't feel like myself. Don't drink, not overweight, active, but don't exercise. 5'8" 153lbs. 72 year old male. I've been on treatment since August '19 and because of forums like this, my numbers are good.

Re: Brain Fog & Tired
Numbers are not really so good. AHI contains a lot of CA's. Might be some changes in pressure that would effect those, but I want to leave that to those with more knowledge.
The leak rate, if I am seeing it correctly, is way above where it should be. That starts to effect how your machine handles events at some point.

Re: Brain Fog & Tired
I don't think they're significant, as they're almost exclusively clustered around times when OP is obviously awake.realshelby wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 2:44 pmNumbers are not really so good. AHI contains a lot of CA's.

TCB: have you tried higher pressure support?

Re: Brain Fog & Tired
No, but I will. What would you suggest. Also what does the PS down arrow mean?
Re: Brain Fog & Tired
I only know your machine has a max and min PS setting, so that it's variable. Perhaps something to do with that?
As for settings, I'm not super sure, but maybe min 3 and max 4?

Re: Brain Fog & Tired
Thanks. I'll try the 4 max and 3 min. That also explains the arrow down!
I have moderate OSA so I hope the settings I'm using are good.

Re: Brain Fog & Tired
To explain a bit, I suggested that because a) your PS is a bit low for a bilevel, and b) your machine is reporting some hypnoneas and RERAs, which can be addressed with higher PS. Since you haven't tried higher, it seems you should.
What I'm unsure of is the titration protocol when you have variable PS, as you do. But my suggestion was pretty conservative.

Re: Brain Fog & Tired
Thanks! I'm going to go with Epap min10 and Ipap max17 with a PS of 5-4 on AutoB. I will post my results tomorrow.
Re: Brain Fog & Tired
*LOWER* pressure support, higher PS will likely aggravate the centrals, (which aren't bad yet).

Re: Brain Fog & Tired
Almost all of the centrals on the night he posted are when he was awake.

Maybe, you're assuming things.

Re: Brain Fog & Tired
After reading all the comments I set my DreamStation: IPAP Max17 EPAP Min10 PS3
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!
Re: Brain Fog & Tired
Yesterday Slorwriter advised some changes to my pressure settings. Here is last night with those settings.
Re: Brain Fog & Tired
Not at all. They're almost all (seems to be about 12 of them, though hard for me to tell; could be more) clustered right around when the OP turns off the machine, which is obviously impossible if he's asleep.
This is on the first night posted; the 21st.
