Re: What's wrong with me?
Not sure why but I feel alot worse since starting with cpap machine. I am tired all day with the need to sleep multiple times. The fatigue is overwhelming at times. Snapshot below of the last 2 days. I'm using nasal pillows and wonder if maybe I'm breathing through my mouth at night? Maybe my body has to get used to the cpap machine? Pressure to high or to low?

just went back through this thread. palerider at one point says he thinks your minimum should be 10. i don't have the smarts to argue with him.andrenym00 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 7:10 pmNot sure why but I feel alot worse since starting with cpap machine. i was also wondering if you sleep on your back? that may account for the number of obstructive events shown in your chart. i know it wallops me when i sleep on my back.
finally, yes this can take some time for the benefits to show up. stick with it and we'll see if we can get you there!

I sleep on my side. I don't get any gas. I'll try to move to 9 pressure tonight.zonker wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 9:17 pmjust went back through this thread. palerider at one point says he thinks your minimum should be 10. i don't have the smarts to argue with him.andrenym00 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 7:10 pmNot sure why but I feel alot worse since starting with cpap machine. if no aerophagia, then feel free to go all the way to that 10 min pressure, if you want.andrenym00 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 9:21 pmI sleep on my side. I don't get any gas. Re: What's wrong with me?
So I was dreaming alot last night and woke up as I was still dreaming. Woke up with that feeling again of my brain feeling like it was going to shut off and the tv and my wife's voice in the other room sounded really far away. My heart started beating fast and felt like I was going to die. Am i waking up during sleep paralysis or during deep sleep? Im trying to figure out why this is happening. Very scary. I want to add that it hasn't happened in a long time. Also my doctor increased my minimum pressure to 15.

Re: What's wrong with me?
Has anybody had sleep paralysis where even after getting up out of bed the sleep paralysis continues? Happening last couple of days and it's freaking me out. It feels like my body still thinks it's asleep. This happens after suddenly waking from dream stage of sleep.
Re: What's wrong with me?
Unless you're taking medication that could account for any of your symptoms (and many could) I'd want to see a neurologist who knows about sleep disorders because what you describe at the end here should be looked at to be sure nothing else is going on - not suggesting it is, but I'd want to ask.

Anxiety attack?
I had a couple a few years back.
Thought I was having a stroke.

Re: What's wrong with me?
I've had to deal with sleep paralysis since I was a kid, so I'm used to it, but I can definitely understand that it's alarming if you're not used to it. I've also experienced the awake-and-still-logy thing. It's like physical/proprioceptive deja-vu. There's probably a fancy medical term for it, but I don't know it. Some light tai-chi or yoga exercises can stem that when it happens. If you're not very mobile, breathing exercises might help. It's mostly about clearing brain fog.andrenym00 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2020 8:26 pmHas anybody had sleep paralysis where even after getting up out of bed the sleep paralysis continues? Remember, the one thing you can always consciously control -- even in conscious sleep paralysis -- is your breathing. Have you considered attempting conscious dreaming? It can be fun.
Your AHI is averaging a lot better than mine when I first started. I hope you're gaining a sense that you may actually have a handle on things. It gets better.
