My Air - high level guide
Oxymoron?
JPB
No. An oxymoron is someone who thinks it makes sense for him to use ozone to try to clean his boogers off his mask.
MyAir reports and records mask-on time, AHI, and leak--the three most important metrics for any patient.
OK, so maybe palerider never picks on me, but he picks on those poor ResMed people who run myAir.
Just saying:
If I only used MyAir - AHI for my therapy adjustments I would still be trying to figure out my pressures.
I have so many false events every night I would probably think I need a BiLevel machine or just have given up.
Without this forum and SleepyHead/Oscar I would have been a
therapy fail statistic.
Now that is high level for me.

I agree that myAir is useless for detailed troubleshooting. There is software for that.
I used ResScan for that back when I first started out. After that, all I needed was what I could see on the screen of my machine. And myAir is a step up from that, to some extent. So it is enough for me to keep an eye on things.
But myAir is valuable for getting more patients involved, interested, and informed about the state of their therapy to the point that those with good therapy can improve it and those with lousy therapy can at least become informed about the need for detailed troubleshooting.
I appreciate your posts, jimbud. Always have. You have a valuable perspective around here, so never let my giving you a hard time keep you quiet, ok?
