The AirSen10 CPAP machine only shows very basic and limited data.
It will give you an AHI total statistic but it doesn't break that AHI down into any category of event.
3 categories comprise the overall AHI statistic
Central apnea
Obstructive apnea
Hyponea

You add all three of those hourly averages (indexes) to come up with AHI.

So you can indeed get the AHI but it is a generic AHI without anyway to know what categories it is comprised of.

About the best you can do is if you have a low AHI is assume that all event categories have a low index.

AHI of 10 is about 5 times what I would be happy with.

Did you have much trouble either falling asleep or staying asleep? Sometimes the AHI gets elevated because of awake breathing irregularities getting flagged by mistake so that might explain an elevated AHI that isn't related to sleep apnea itself.

Otherwise....While not horribly terrible...it's pretty bad if you were for sure asleep for the bulk of the night and I wouldn't be happy with it at all.

Many of us went undiagnosed/untreated for so long, we forgot what feeling good is like. "Feeling not too bad" might be a very unhealthy condition. Is there any way you can wrangle a trade for an AutoSet machine?

Nope. It doesn't show squat. (that's useful)

I was asleep most of the night, ill try again tonight .. and report #'s tomorrow .. was going to adjust pressure, but plan on leaving It the same for another night to make sure reading was accurate..

Agree 100% - wish there was a full proof treatment for this, its been a battle for me … and im working on getting an autoset machine ..

thanks

I love EPR. It just makes my breathing feel so much like normal natural breathing.
I use 3 EPR with the AirSense 10 models and with the AirCurve 10 model I use PS of 4 (think of it like EPR of 4 if EPR could go to 4).
I could do without it if I had to but why do without something that makes me so comfortable.
I have found that the more I do to make myself comfortable the better I sleep.

i use an epr of 3. don't think i'd be able to sleep without using it.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

With the AirSense I used 7 minimum EPR 3...max at 20 but it rarely goes over 12. So that's essentially 4 EPAP and 7 IPAP starting out.
With the AirCurve 10 I use EPAP 4 with PS 4...max 20 again but it never goes anywhere near it...So that's 4 EPAP and 8 IPAP starting out.
I prefer 4 cm difference simply because I like it better than 3 cm.

My pressure range is 11.2 - 20 and I rarely hit 12.

I have EPR set to 3, and love it. I've seen a lot of people encourage others to avoid using EPR, and I don't understand.

Unless there is a compelling reason, not to use it, such as a EPR contributing to centrals, use what's most comfortable.

I stopped using EPR to help with fitting the Sleepweaver Elan.
When I changed masks, I never put EPR back on.
I am quite comfy without it.
