When people use any sort of exhale relief they create a bilevel pressure situation...one pressure for inhale and one for exhale...hence it is functioning as a bilevel machine. So you get an EPAP and IPAP....and the software had to figure out some way to call many things for multiple machines just one thing...so even if you don't use any exhale relief you still have an IPAP and EPAP but they just don't differ.

Think of flow rate as a graph of your breathing...if you zoom in close enough you can actually look at each individual breath.
Flow limitations are reductions in air flow during that breathing.
You can have reductions in air flow that can disturb breathing that don't meet the criteria to earn the OA or hyponea flag. Think of them as baby OAs or baby hyponeas that didn't or haven't yet grown up enough to earn a flag. They are very important because they can grow up and they can disturb our sleep even if they don't grow up. They are problem children.

I’m trying to learn and understand the data and graphs. Since this is a CPAP, I don’t get why “EPAP” is listed. I thought only BiPAP had EPAP since CPAP has just one pressure for inhalation and exhalation.
Also, what is the significance of the Flow Limitation and Flow Rate? Does it provide additional info beyond the description of events?

Your breathing.

I’m also trying to understand the “Leak” graphics and numbers. The graph appears to indicate some leaks but then on the left it says no leak.
Your machine reports *total leak* ie, the mask vent rate plus any actual excess leakage. Thus, there's total leak, and excess leak (which is approximated by Oscar). You appear to have very little excess leak, near or at zero.

I increased the minimum to 7 I'll give it 2-3 days and see what happens next. I feel so much better my legs don't ache, my stomach feels better and I feel more clear headed, I feel like I'm almost 50 not like I'm 70+.

I'm thinking about pushing back my sleep study appointment, we don't have insurance so the $900 will be out of pocket I'm happy to pay that if it will make a difference but I'm not convinced it will. I know that they will have a lot more data to work with but they will be doing what we've (you) have just done. Any opinions?

Last night wasn't as good as my last couple, do I need to make any changes or do I look at the average for the last week and not concentrate on the individual day?

You took the panel off the right (good), but didn't include the panel on the left, the AHI summary and stats page. You don't expect people to count the Apneas and calculate it themselves do you.

Don't include the calendar and pie chart.

And no, typically a single day means nothing.

I never make changes based off one night's rather off results. I like to look at the larger picture.
We all can have random weird fluke off nights and there's simply no way to know if a good night or bad night is a fluke or not without more nights.

How did you sleep last night? You had significantly more CAs/centrals flagged.....makes me wonder if you had much awake time flagging going on last night.

Yeah I didn't sleep great I tossed and turned a bit and I was up for 1/2 an hour or more before I took the mask off.

Can you guys take a look, it seems like when I went to 8.5 as my minimum my AHI got worse.

Is it "normal" to be anywhere from under 1 to over 4 for the AHI, it seems like I have 3 good days than 2 bad days (4 really isn't bad).

Is your OSA worse on your back or in REM?

Spend much time on your back some nights and not other nights?

How was your sleep quality with the increase? Did you find yourself waking up during the night more? Spend much time awake with mask on?
