You've had eight years to get a backup/spare. These things don't last forever......although some of them come close.
"Murphy's Laws" apply to these machines and in the vast majority of cases, they don't give warnings.
They're getting harder to find, but a few years ago the Pro 2s were practically everywhere and were dirt cheap (compared to any other newer machines or to their original prices). Around that time, I bought five for about $150 each and/or less and some included humidifier units w/tanks.

You might contact http://www.acbio.com and see what a new/replacement motor might cost. Might not be too expensive.

Yes, people were dumping their Pro 2's, so they could buy the NEW and INFERIOR model. Let's see how many "M's" get to 8 years or 14,000 hours before trashcan time.

My Pro 2, has 10 years on it and 14,700 hours on it still works fine. I can brag an out this, because it is "Murphy Proofed", I purchased a used Pro 2 with 350 hours on it, and bought a like model APAP new from Cpap Dot Com.

If you are mechanically inclined, sounds like the bearings on the motor have gone dry, seen that with computer cooling fans and even big motors on A/C units. You have nothing to loose but time, one small drop of oil on each bearing will free it up and probably bring it back to life, possibly for another 8 years. Jim

Personally I'd start with 3 in 1 oil, to free it, or machine oil.

They must be junk because most of the error code say REPLACE BOARD. Does anyone know how to program it to have the motor stay on or a physical, electrical way to keep it running? Trying to make an air supply that is fairly quiet but can run all the time for my hydroponics next year. They seem to do better with and air supply to them. No user throwing it out if I can use it a while. Thank you.
