Re: Struggling
I should point out that I cannot naturally close my mouth all the way shut due to having a small mouth with quite large teeth, furthermore I have a small nose which is slightly upturned - a bit like a pig's snout LOL.

Re: Struggling
I went to bed at about 12:30am last night, I finally took off my mask "for good" at around 4 to 5 am - the reason being that it was squirting water droplets on to my face & that was very annoying, & then got out of bed sometime between 8 & 9am. Whilst wearing the mask I had weird dreams when I slept - not particularly pleasant, without it I had a variation of a recurring dream which was incredibly distressing & based upon my present difficult life situation & also past traumas especially from childhood.
Re: Struggling
Water in the mask or hose...condensation or what we call rain out.
See this thread for various ways of dealing with it...posts number 2 and 3

If you have a heated hose...turn up the hose air temp.
If you don't have a heated hose...get one.

Re: Struggling
It was quite cold last night, I cannot afford to have the heating on all night, also this building is old & not well maintained by the landlord, I sleep under a very thick/warm duvet; I think that the hose temperature is 27 degrees centigrade (84 degrees farenheit) but I can't find a way to change the temperature.

So put the hose under the covers with you.JennySawyer wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 12:26 pmIt was quite cold last night, I cannot afford to have the heating on all night, also this building is old & not well maintained by the landlord, I sleep under a very thick/warm duvet; I think that the hose temperature is 27 degrees centigrade (84 degrees farenheit) but I can't find a way to change the temperature.

Re: Struggling
Someone from the sleep clinic phoned me yesterday to see how I was getting on, in response to my concerns they have increased the tube temperature from 27 to 29 degrees (so that I can have high humidity without condensation), I have no idea how they do that without touching my machine but then I'm a technophobe, last night was not a good night for testing as my dog was unwell & kept me awake for most of the night, he's been to the vets now & is much better so I'll see what difference the change makes tonight.
Re: Struggling
jenny, you can make these changes yourself, without waiting for it to be done remotely. i know it's hard to imagine that you can do it, but you can. there are menus on your machine that you don't currently know about. but once you get into the machine, you can make all sorts of changes. takes a bit of practice, but it can be done.JennySawyer wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 11:23 amSomeone from the sleep clinic phoned me yesterday to see how I was getting on, in response to my concerns they have increased the tube temperature from 27 to 29 degrees (so that I can have high humidity without condensation), I have no idea how they do that without touching my machine but then I'm a technophobe, last night was not a good night for testing as my dog was unwell & kept me awake for most of the night, he's been to the vets now & is much better so I'll see what difference the change makes tonight.
