Doesn't mean no more SleepyHead folks. Just means no more new SleepyHead stuff from Mark unless he changes his mind.
No bug fixes on existing versions...stuff like that.
No new model compatibility....stuff like that.

We can still use what is out there and available. Just won't do any good to complain about bugs or lack of compatability.

I'm hoping that development will continue, there's no reason for it not to continue.

In fact, without Mark's temper tantrums, development may accelerate.

There's absolutely no justifiable reason for people to have suffered with that full screen bug for *three years*, other than Mark's habit of sulking for years... or "going dark" as SuperSleeper puts it.

Well he has shut down the download link for 1.0xxx now.

Sigh....

Hopefully someone has some other sources. I haven't had time to go looking.
I probably have Windows 1.0 zipped on my computer somewhere and I just got 1.1 but not installed it yet.

I just posted links in the other thread that work as of a few minutes ago.

I could not convince him to leave 1.0 up but he says, so far, the sources stay available.

Look at my recent post here.

It appears that the knight has chosen to cease tilting at windmills;
and in return for unknown consideration, has laid down his lance and butchered his horse.
Good luck to the warriors who choose to continue the battle.

As donations dry up for SleepyHead, Mark's servers will go away too, since it was paid for with SleepyHead donations.

As a way to give back here, I have set up a copy of Mark's work for your use here, before it disappears. SleepyHead is too valuable a tool here to let it die.

This is on a small online account I had forgotten about. We can make use of this while we contemplate next steps. I copied Mark's page to make it more familiar to people. Since there is currently no SleepyHead development, I removed the Donate link.

http://bosborne.freeshell.org/cpaptalk/sleepyhead/

I also have Mark's testing builds but removed them to conserve limited web space.

It is hosted in the USA. Please accept this in the community spirit is is presented. I told Mark I was trying to take care of CPAPTalk here and he thanked me.

Many people here have been talking & criticizing but few have actually worked on moving our community forward. I know this is not much, but I wanted to do something before we were left totally stranded. CPAPTalk needs to be independent of other organizations wherever possible.

Mark nuked his Discord development messaging servers last night.

Please keep him & his family in your prayers. For now, I am still maintaining contact with him by email,

You do realize that Mark's "servers" is a linode, that costs 10$ USD per month. I set it up.

I did not realize that but I was basing this off what Mark told me recently.
At that rate the donations from Facebook users might keep it going a while longer, if the content is not moved again or deleted.
Either way it is safer not to trust in it exclusively.

would you be so kind as to explain, in layman's terms, what a linode is and how it differs from a server?

Fortunately, there are other places to download that aren't going to go away because mark's having another temper tantrum.

It is an inexpensive server rental service. Mark has said his is located in Singapore.

There are linode data centers in a number of places around the world.

Mark and I picked Singapore for his 'server' since Singapore was the closest to Oz, because at the time, he was planning to host the source code there.

He since moved it to gitlab instead of diying it.

so, why are you using 'server' with quotes? what is the significance of that? is it the difference of hosting it yourself vs hiring?

curious minds want to know!
