And now a collection of our guest's greatest hits, taken from three different posts:

The fact that Eric is French is enough reason for me to dislike him.
He claims to be French. Even if he is in fact not French, a French speaking Canadian is good enough for me to dislike him.
Earlier in this thread I PM'd EricF t find out if he was French French or Canadian French because to me it makes a big difference. I admire the quebecois.
You must have missed this, Eagle Eye:
I am French Canadian and I consider myself as an American... Unless some French Canadian and even some English Canadian!!!

Dude. Put down the bong, and move along. Before somebody throws a net over you.

So if I claim to be a martian does that make me a martian?

. . . I haven't followed this ridiculous thread and have only sampled a few choice posts until I start to heave . . .
But, you're back. Glutton for punishment, or just a voyeur?

and then thankfully, I move on.
But, you are drawn, inexorably, like a moth to a flame. And to such a "ridiculous post". Curious.

But please tell me......
Why let ANY of this rent space in your heads?
Well, since you do ask . . maybe I'll tell you why I do, but first you've got to promise to tell us why you are still renting space to ANY of this as well. Perhaps you can enlighten us when you next return to this ridiculous post, as I predict you may. Each individual's reason can be unique, or maybe just like yours!

Actually, I don't think I will tell you. I will just say, different strokes for different folks. It would appear from the number of hits, more than 6500 and counting, lots of folks don't think that the issues that have come up here are wholly ridiculous at all. You could chalk up all the hits to just morbid curiosity, but whatever the reason, they find it interesting. Some even check back in from time to time, choosing to ignore the likelihood that nausea will ensue. An inexplicable phenomenon.

Others may wonder about just what social itches are being scratched here. It can be challenging to explain the mental processes and behavior of individuals, but apparently a goodly number of folks don't consider the issues too ridiculous, even if the thread weaves are all over the map, and by and large is not germane to CPAP for the most part. The thread has taken on a life of its own!

But, t's easy enough to disengage if the topic is of no interest, so I can only surmise that they choose not to because the contrary is true, at least for them. To each his own. One man's ridiculous is another man's fasci-noma.

Please do not confuse the "guest" avec mois. The "guest" does not like (presumably all) French be they Canadian or Parisian. I was the one who said it made a (big) difference, not he.

I PM'd EricF and he replied privately a long time before he openly posted that he was Canadian French. Even if he were French French I would not have automatically liked or disliked him, but I would have been more cautious until I determined his attitude toward us (Americans) - which happens to be friendly unlike what I would expect (until proven wrong) from most Parisian French. Besides this whole thread is a joke particularly the part about who likes or dislikes EricF and furthermore all EricF was trying to do it to stir the pot.

As for the French assistance during the Revolutionary times, that was a long time ago and that debt has been repaid many times over. My concern now is that in our time France has assisted our enemies to kill our soldiers and has endangered us at home due to their profit making deals and diplomatic stances.

What Dr.B said, "As Louie Armstrong once said:
Some people, if they don't know, you can't tell him."

Ah, my apologies for any confusion. Sorry about that. With all the French and Canadian bashing here, I lost track of who hates whom. Sorry, Tanstaf1, I apologize for misquoting you.

BTW, there is a very interesting documentary out for a couple years now called: Outfoxed. I believe many would consider it to be an attempt to discredit some of the journalistic practices at FOX. But, just like there is a big difference in magazine media (compare People with Business Week), there is also a difference in television media. Not all are created alike, otherwise you wouldn't favor FOX, for instance.

Anyway, the documentary, while admittedly imperfect, does raise some very interesting issues about whether FOX is truly "Fair and Balanced". Just another way of validating that your information is as untainted as you can make it. You stated that you would rather have "both sides" so you can make your own decision.

If you see the documentary, you would definitely have "both sides" to consider. Otherwise, you'll just have to take it on faith that their slogan says it all. Just an FYI, not a recommendation.

Tied to the whipping post,
Tied to the whipping post,
Good lord, I feel like I'm dying

Allman Brothers. Saw 'em do it at Fillmore East live, back in the early 70's. Thanks for the memories.

I did not say debts were left unpaid. I was just pointing out that if it were not for the French, there would be no Americans to pay debts back.

BTW – I’m not French, Canadian, or Martian. I may be a blend of Spaniard and American Aboriginal depending on how far back one follows the leak in the sexuality pool … silly humans!!

… and so I shall make this my last post on this silly thread, see y’all on the next one!
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

No problem on confusing me with the "guest's" views. Actually the few times the system did not recognize my automatic logon and I accidentally posted as a guest, somehow underneath guest, it said also said "posts as TANSTAF1."

If EricF has said he was Iranian I would likewise have been cautious. There are some Iranians who are believe in free markets, natural rights, democracy and are therefore pro-American, but there are many more who would destroy us and impose a worldwide caliphate.

Anyway I agree FOX news is not exactly balanced - it mainly presents liberal and center viewpoints so all I really watch on it is Hannity and Colmes. I occasionally watch other FOX shows. If it presented more conservative viewpoints I would watch it more. So I watch very little TV.

You're either playing with us, seriously deluded, or are Mussolini.

I'm not sure which would be worst, although given that Mussolini has been dead for over 60 years, I'd have to give a nod to that one.

Liam, not into dead guys. Or, come to think of it, guys at all.
