Uh oh. Looks like another another one I want to try. I already found my perfect mask (the Aura) - why do I still have such a strong desire to try out all these new masks? lol
Well, not all. This one, though (forgive me if I'm saying what's been said - I missed previous threads on this) looks as if Respironics is actually listening to users.
Here's why:
We can wear glasses with this.
Nasal pillows rotate - so (hopefully) this will mean a better seal.
They took those same name badge holders we're all using and have started marketing them as part of the mask! That's hilarious!
The headgear APPEARS to be more adjustable, to fit heads of different sizes (including WOMEN! yay!) better.
I'm waiting for them to begin including a "flexisoft stretch strap" that appears to be remarkably similar to pantyhose.
I have to admit - I'm skeptical that that thing can be leak free with no strap holding those pillows in place - but we'll see!

Last night was my second night with the OptiLife - Some initial impressions.
It is very quiet. The vent holes are in a circle.
The inflow feels more restricted than the Swift at the same pressure.
I could sleep in any position as long as I was aware where the tube was. It can be easy to move the tube which will push the mask and cause a leak. I only had one leak though.
There is more upward pressure of the pillows against the nose than the Swift. The cushions have smaller openings than the Swift. Don't know why. I started with medium and changed to large. I also put a nasal strip on which helped open my nostrils to accept the pillows.
It is ridiculously easy to adjust, no more fooling around with the pillows and straps. While it can't be put on with one hand like the ad says, it goes right on easily, you can wear it around or wear glasses and read before you go to sleep.
Overall, it is more comfortable than the Swift, lighter with fewer tight straps to contend with.
I'll know more in a week or so.
