Pugsy -- like you, less on my face is better. I remember you kind of liked the Amara View. I couldn't deal with it. Will be waiting to hear a comparison from you, especially on that bottom strap. I keep going back to the P10 but should be using a FFM. Hate the collar and everything else people suggest. Would be great to find a FFM that I can deal with.

Wow! Love is a strong word for ANY cpap mask. However, it's very encouraging!

Love is a pretty strong word and one that I have yet to be able to really use with any enthusiasm about a mask.
Even my P10 has its down side.

I have made some modifications to the DreamWear Full face mask in hopes that I can stop the sliding around. Will sleep with it tonight and see if it helps. It's not perfect but it appears to be better. I added covers to the frame at the top and the sides to see if it becomes more stable. If my head was bigger this wouldn't be an issue.

FYI secondwindcpap doesn't actually have them in stock. They are coming in beginning of next week so perhaps that's when they will pop up on other sites as well?

That's usually the way it goes.
Even with cpap.com the usual procedure is to advertise it and the choice is to initially "pre order" so that you get first dibs on whatever inventory that comes in. Usually with new masks it's slow and limited and the replacement parts are really slow to get.
Usually it's the mask packages first.

My past experience has been that when I preordered something that it was a couple of weeks before I got it. Sometimes a little sooner.
Sometimes you can get an anticipated arrival and shipping date.

Since I haven't seen any announcement yet from cpap.com for pre ordering......they are probably down on the list of getting retail inventory.
Shouldn't be long though. Sooner than I originally thought....I was thinking maybe summer.

Now I have no way of knowing for sure but I wouldn't be surprised to find that when cpap.com gets this mask that free return insurance will be available...it's a guess on my part but seems like all the new masks the last few years have come with free return insurance.
Now bear in mind IF that is the case here it's going to be on the complete mask package and not the individual parts.
So if someone already has the frame...the insert and headgear purchase won't be covered under any return insurance (assuming that it is available for the mask package).

I tried the dreamwear ffm today in a size small at my mask exchange appointment and it wouldn't work for me, it had to be tight on the ramp pressure and once it was at full 24/16 it was a no go. My face was too small to get a good seal with it, which is really unfortunate because it was a really comfortable mask. She said we could go tighter if I really wanted that one but that would just cause problems. So back to the airfit F20.

So if I need the headgear as well does it mean I need the whole new mask package? What part of my current DW can I retain and use?

The other thought that occurred to me was that while I use a small nasal pillow, this is only because of the width of my nostrils. I am not exactly small but not overly large either so the FFM size might have to be a medium for me.

I need to find images that will give me an idea.

Give me a bit of time (it's not even dawn here yet) for daylight to happen and I will get some pictures for you so you can see the difference in the headgear. I will put them side by side so you can see why you will need different headgear.

Sizing...I need to look at each size more closely but it appears to be more on nose size than anything else. Not width or side to side of the nostrils but depth of the nose from base of nostril to tip of nose thing. I will get back with you on that.

But for you...you will need a different headgear...and the insert. The only thing that you wouldn't need is the frame.
The sizing guide included in the package that I got is more like this one.
https://5faacd0c97cf0d23c6dc-064f3cd61b ... -guide.pdf

I am thinking that the fit pack might still be the best way to go for some people. It's going to depend a lot on the cost.
It's like the other masks when you buy the parts separately....often it adds up to as much or close to as much as the fit pack where everything is in one package plus the extra sizes when someone doesn't know the size.

I just realized where some of the confusion over the headgear might be coming from.
At the secondwindcpap website the headgear pictured is the original headgear.
http://www.secondwindcpap.com/Respironi ... 33400.html

This is the headgear for the original nasal cushion or the gel pillows. It isn't going to work on the full face mask insert. You need something to anchor the bottom of the insert so it won't blow off your mouth.
They don't seem to have a picture of the headgear for the full face mask version. If I can't find one I will take a pic when I can see...still dark here right now.

Okay...to lessen potential confusion and work on me....check out the Review thread

where I have posted pictures that I took.

Maybe continue with any other questions or discussion over in that thread.
