Bad/incorrect information needs to be corrected asap.
Insults/sarcasm/unnecessary comments not pertaining to topic should not be allowed on a help forum.
Name calling should not be allowed on a help forum.
Death wishes/suggestions of killing others should not be allowed on a help forum.

Seems a lot like a preference that should not allow humans on a help forum?

This is not a "human nature forum", nor is it a psychological forum, altho in some cases that does get intermingled with sleep apnea. Spouting the distinguishing characteristics of human beings is not what is being discussed here. We are talking about how adults should respond to one another on a HELP FORUM. Seriously, if you want to get into this stuff, there is always Psychology Today.

My apologies for writing my post in an Incomprehensible manner for you.
What I meant to express is that all of the things that you listed are common characteristics of human beings regardless of whether they manifest on a HELP FORUM or not. If you disagree with that, then that would be your opinion but nonetheless I disagree with you and think that both of us should be allowed to express our opinions in any way shape or form.

I've been trying to think of something profound, but have concluded that no matter how smart or profound someone might be, most people today DO NOT LISTEN. They are so self centered and sure of their viewpoints and opinions that they are more concerned about debating their point of view than considering another.
It's incredibly sad. What's worse is that this attitude isn't limited to message boards or the internet, but runs rampant throughout our society. Sadly, most people will read what I just said and refuse to consider for a second that they might be one of those types.
However, I suppose I feel an obligation to try. Futile? Probably, but try I will.
The way I see it, we've got three major issues here:
We've got members deleting posts (non spam). That's just wrong and a pretty shitty thing to do.
We've also got members logging in under "Guest" to hide their true board identity to post in a way that they wouldn't do under their known user ID or to make it appear that more people agree with their viewpoint. That's being a coward and also a very shitty thing to do.
Lastly, we've got members being incredibly rude and hostile. Some are worse than others. Some of them - their behavior is questionable but doesn't cross any of Johnny's boundaries (which are pretty loose). A few others shouldn't be allowed to behave the way they do - anywhere. It's not okay to name call and then say that all those of that name should be killed. It's just not okay.
Everyone that uses a message board should agree to, and be held accountable, for a minimum of respect and courtesy towards other posters. A poster should be able to say "I'm sorry, but your post regarding [subject] is inaccurate because" without being on the receiving end of a never ending rant of insults, name calling and baseless accusations.

Okay - I'm done. Let the rants and insults commence. Because I'm pretty sure they will.

People that say this over & over are the ones who have already had more than one Spam Button removed and have a bucket full of usernames to cause confusion.
I think you should use the name on your driver's license or valid state ID and your avatar should be a photocopy of that ID. Watch the rodents run. Problem solved.

Awhile back I remember saying that I didn't get why so many people were up in arms about guest posting. That was then, this is now. Count me in as another who doesn't think guest posts should be allowed.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and helpful post. I've read and re-read it.
Johnny
I find it very satisfying that you found it thoughtful and helpful. I appreciate your taking the time to say that.
To all the others that supported my thoughts - I thank you.
To those (well, maybe just one) that are trying to bait me back into the fray of crap, not biting. As my post said, people don't listen and those that have demonstrated this quality, trying to talk/reason with them IS futile.
