This is how I see it:

"King James Bible
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."

Curlers, high heels, and underwires are things that I have put aside . . .
Keep them if you please; but I no longer want them.
I rejoice in my silvering hair--the arthritis, not so much.

It seems here a few don't like themselves much! Jim

But they do like getting in others business.

Not going to happen here, TASmart -- no matter how much you wish it.

So because the OP wishes to wear curlers and you don't anymore, curlers are childish?

Curlers are childish FOR ME, as are high heels and underwires.
You are free to embrace your inner child--I am seventy now.
Some things seem out of place.

lets see -

no xpap - life threatening

no curlers -- y aa www hhhh nnnnnn NO PROBLEM AT ALL

logic says it is a simple decision
The OP NEVER said she was going to choose NOT to use her xpap because OF curlers. She said she occasionally wished to use curlers while using her xpap.

And doing both at the same time is POSSIBLE.
Fussy, and uncomfortable, yes, but doable, if it is that important.
I tolerated expensive, damaging, stinky perms for years,
because one has to be "presentable" for work--ugh.
Freedom is so good--almost worth being broke.

That's right. It might be challenging, but it is possible, if, for her own reasons, the OP feels it's important to wear curlers. I am heartened that we have managed this conclusion.

Granted, lots of good looking hairstyles are obtained with the help of extensions, but, I can do pretty well on my own, with the help of some curlers. It's amazing the huge curls I can get from my own straight hair. I'm pretty sure that it looks better curly, because when I wear it with LOTS of curls, I get MANY compliments. Not as many when it's straight, but, that's ok. I'm not going to contend with curling daily. No way. I can accept it looking not as great most days. lol

Here's my look: Style NO. 30, except in blonde. It won't hold like that long though. Not enough hair spray on the planet to keep that hold for long. lol

Looks great! Why not have curly hair sometimes, right?

+1 Great hair style. Wish I could pull it off but at my age people would likely die from laughing so hard.

I'd like Ruth Gordon's braids from Harold & Maude.
Anchor my mask, and in the morning--waves.
