I use a washing machine drain hose retainer as a support. It attaches to my steel headboard with a magnet and provides very stable support and control of the hose. See: http://s.sears.com/is/image/Sears/PD_00 ... 0&hei=2000 for an example. If one cannot use a magnet, one may attach the support in several alternative ways.

My home-made hose management system is composed of a swivel plant hanger,
to which I fastened a section of casting rod with duck tape.
I use silicone bandz(tm) and hair scrunchies to hang my hose from the line guide eyelets in two places.
I can hang my mask up over the hose loop to keep it away from the cat.
The swivel allows me to move around in bed with minimum juggling.

I use the “SnuggleHose Cover” from cpap.com. It covers the hose so it doesn’t rub on the headboard, doesn’t fall and looks nice. I highly recommend it.
