Oximeter: CMS-50D+ or CMS-50F?

I had no problem using the pulse ox I had and getting the correct software report from the pulse ox software AND getting it integrated into SleepyHead too.
The person I sold it to didn't have a problem either....
So far (at least of the people here on this forum who have used one of the pulse oximeters) there has been only one unhappy camper....so the odds are that the majority of people won't have a problem with any of the models.
You can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time....just won't happen.

The page shows at least 4 recording Pulse Oximeters. The CMS 50D, CMS 50E, CMS 50F, and the MD300W11.

plug and play but not together and not nicely in the sandbox

it was a guessing game to get the data file imported

and 85% of the time there was no data in the file
apparently there is a magic sequence of picking and setting options and doing actions that work
but if you dont do it that way there is no data at all just an empty file

once i found out the incantation to importing files then that was easy
but finding the magical sequence of commands and clicks for gettign the actual data in was a guessing game that took too many tries so i quit wasting time with it

it works well if the user isn't an idiot.

Some years ago when I first had an oximeter reading done overnight, the finger unit ended up irritating my finger--not so much from the pressure of the unit holding the finger, but from the effect of the scanner/gizmo function itself. I had been warned of the possible discomfort before I did the test. It was not very painful, but the irritation lasted an hour or so after I took the unit off. I expect technology has changed/improved over time, as the overnight oximeter reading I did last fall was totally painless.

Perhaps the warning you mention is a "leftover" from earlier times, or simply a CYA (cover-your-a@@) posting from the manufacturer.
