Smart Card Problem - No Data
Reinstall of EncorePro
Hi John:
Thought I'd take this off forum, because my interest is not exactly the issue you began with.
I've been trying to export EncorePro data to Excel so that I can develop minute by minute pressure plots.
I've been using EncorePro since April 2006, downloading data approximately every 3-5 days. I do not erase the card after each download.
What I found when trying to export the pressure by time-0f-day data is that the number of records in the table exceeds 65000 so the export attempt will only handle the first 65000. Consequently I can not export data that was downloaded after about Nov 14 2006. This is due to a limitation with Excel, not a problem with SQL.
So I debated about removing and reinstalling EncorePro (which installs the SQL server) I'd be starting clean. I thought the consequence of that would be that I'd lose all the data from april to reinstall. From what you've told me that is not the case... what I understand yoiu to say is that reinstalling EncorePro does not start with a clean set of SQL tables, but rather carries all "old" data.
That's helpful information for me, because it means that I may have to manually uninstall and delete the SQL database.
BTW, did you uninstall EncorePro using Control Panel/add& Remove Programs? Did you uninstall the SQL server via add & remove programs?
Thanks for the benefit of your experience and experimentation,
Bob Elston
