I'm Back, almost.

Post by Goofproof » Sat Sep 23, 2006 11:30 am

My thank for the support for all who knew.

Trial By Fire.

Thanks for the thoughts, we made it home, They installed a defibrillator, They must had a shortage of painkiller, because, I would have bitten through a box of bullets, if they had given me any. I'm no stranger to pain, and I can take way more than normal, but that doctor made me aware of new levels. I think he was trained in Germandy, by the SS. I was tied to the operating table by the hands and feet. I had a iron bar over my head. they hooked me up to my APAP and O2. They had no idea how to use, O2 on APAP, So I told them to send down for a adaptor, It came, and they didn't know, what to set the O2 at, I told them 4 LPM because of the washout.

If I could have injected the Novicane, myself I would have been better off, but that they did alone. My head was completely covered, I don't know whether that was for my protection, or so I couldn't, idenify my assailant, in court. I couldn't see them, or the tools they used, but from the sound and feel, it was a iron rod with the end heated glowing red. With no less than eight tries, each on brought me, off the table. Profanity, didn't slow down the Doctor's work or bring more painkiller. (I was told, I would only feel some tugging as they made a pocket for the device.)

A nurse told me to squeeze her hand, so she would know I was still with them, I think I broke her fingers, because after the first invasion of my chest, she removed her hand and it never came back.

I think, the Surgeon was late, for a round of golf, maybe that's why he didn't use the painkiller, or maybe he just didn't want the branding iron to cool down, any way he was sucessful, it never cooled down, and he got a hole in my chest. NOTE TO THE LADYS: I DO NOT recommed you go to this Doctor, for Breast Implants!

They said, I would be awake through the operation, and then after the pain part was over, they would put me to sleep for five minutes, while they sep up the drfib, as that would be painful....Right! I was out for 35 minutes, my guess, something went wrong.. Anyway I made it back to the room alive!

End of the story, not sure. Before discharge, the Dr. & his aid, brought in a laptop into my room, the aid put a device not unlike a computer mouse. over the implant. He hit some keys, and warned me this might cause discomfort. I felt little discomfort, until I saw the looks they were giving each other. I've seen that look before, the Deer in the Headlight Look! It was plain to me, they didn't like the numbers the laptop gave them, as usual they told the patient everything was fine. But, as we all know, being fine would bring in the emotion of joy, not shock!

So, I am sure, there's other Shoes out there, waiting to fall.

Jim

I expected a readout from the APAP, to be interestion while in the ER, but during the time I was out, it just went to 14 cm, the top I set.

so is one boob now bigger than the other now?

you know the sign, if they bring in two guys with a computer, one doesn't know what they are doing and the other only has a slight clue how to turn it on.

You should have grabbed that color-tv demagnetizer before they left.

Ever have any unknown seizures? That defib device can sometimes correct those as well.

Good to see you back, my friend!!!

Been wondering how everything went.....now that I know, I'll try to avoid that procedure.
Isn't this the same thing that VP Cheney got?

Anyway, it's good to see your wit and humor again.

Best wishes,

If I have to go through it again, I'll go for the third nipple, like The Man With The Golden Gun. It's supposed to be a sign of ________ _______, you will have to look that up, if you're not a James Bond Fan. The next time I'm going in the operating room, I'm taking my Walther PPK, Operating Rooms are no place to be without your gun. jim

Hey there, Jim! WE missed you, unlike the doc who seemed to hone right in on your worst spot. It almost sounds like the kitchen table surgery in the old West.

I also do not feel pain as others do; I have all my dental work done without locals (I have 9 crowns). Sometimes I have nitrous oxide gas, sometimes not. So, maybe as you do, when I feel a great deal of pain it worries me. Pain CAN BE a warning sign.

Was it anything like those folks who were awake, but paralyzed, during major surgeries? Ewww! At any rate, it is (hopefully) all over now.

How much equipment does this make that you have in, on, or around your body on a daily basis now? Airline security would LOVE you.

Welcome back. We need your cutting-edge analysis combined with your wit and ageless wisdom.

Jim,

Glad to see you back my friend.
Be sure to send your doctor the bill for the apap class you gave him tack on an extra 40% for future support that you might have to provide him. .

WELCOME BACK, JIM!!!!

I'm SO SORRY for your ordeal, and I'm so happy that you're here to tell us all abouit it!!!

Now, there's an OBVIOUS explanation for this whole thing. They must have installed your Infineer SmartCard reader and a ResMed Smart Card instead of the cardioverter, by mistake! Their worried looks were because they were getting readings of AHI, AI, HI, Pressure and "VAriable breathing", instead of the Q,R,S and T segments that they were expecting. Man, the LEAKAGE stats they got musta REALLY threw 'em!!!!!! That'll teach 'em to have only TWO drinks during lunch if they gotta go to the Cath Lab in the afternoon!

Anyway, glad you're here with us, and screw 'em if they can't take a joke!

Chuck

P.S. Ya think that the nurse who held your hand for an instant will put in for workman's comp?
