I've finally been baptized

Post by NyNurse33 » Mon Sep 11, 2006 7:36 am

Well last night was my first experience with rain out. What a pleasant experience to wake up @ 4:30 am with water in your nose and then breathing it in. When I use the nasal pillows, which is what I've been using for the past 3 nights (working well, no leaks), I crank up the humidity to "4", but last night the temp went down into the high 40's, so needless to say rain out was inevitable. I will make a hose cover this weekend as it only gets colder here as the months go on. And I guess adjust the humidity. I am sleeping better now, but having some more difficulty than with the masks as far as mouth breathing. I tend to do it more with the pillows...anyone else have that experience? I know all about the taping....we'll see. I definitely do not want to do a full mask, the CL2 is so comfortable compared to Ultra Mirage II nasal interface, forget ff. We'll see if I have that same opinion when I get my first cold.

What Rooster said. Seriously. I was using the CL2 and having problems with mouth breathing. I was up for a new mask and got a Hybrid. It has saved me! I had never been able to keep a mask on all night, even the CL2 was only lasting 4 to 5 hours and I was waking up with the mask on my nightstand every morning or in the middle of the nigh because I was mouth breathing. I couldn't handle the idea of taping my mouth. With the Hybrid, it took a few weeks but now I am sleeping with it through the night. I have had no rainout as I had with the CL2 and if you mouthbreath, who cares? That's what the Hybrid is made for! I love it!
