Question For Liam1965

Post by LilBuckaroo » Sun Feb 13, 2005 4:38 pm

Liam, is there any significance to the ‘1965” in your log in name? The “47” in mine is significant. It is NOT my age. Were it, I would have several more years to contend with this condition. Unless I have missed my guess, we are approximately the same age.

This is by no means, a “pity party” for herky but, if I live as long as my parents lived, Dad died in his 80’s, Mom died in her late 70’s, I have a fairly long way to go. This, as all know, means a life of being tethered to a PAP machine with a mask strapped to our heads. But, there are those who have worse conditions than ours!! At least, we are able to post to this board, gain knowledge, compare stories, laugh, and tell jokes about it. We will get through it.

I do not see a cure for this condition in the immediate future. There are too many variables involved. Personally, I have been through worse, and I’m too young to die! I have too many people to harass!

Please don’t consider leaving this board!! We all want and need your knowledge and most of all, your humor to help get us through this.

Enough of this ranting, as always, take care and sleep well!!

1965 is a fine year for wines, cheeses, cars and wiseass guys named William.

Although it is also the year of my birth, and my given name IS William, unfortunately I didn't turn out so well.

But we mustn't blame the year.

Most places I go, "Liam" is already taken. So when it is, I stick one of 3 or 4 different numbers on the end, one of which being the year I was born.

Liam, only as old as... aw, hell, he just feels old.

Liam,

Being a wise ass must be better than a stupid one, don't you think?

Well, I've got 10 years on you, Mr. Wiseass.
Does that make you feel any better?

Hi Herky,

FINALLY someone older than me!!

Sorry, Herky, but you managed to make my day. Sorry it was at your expense. Personally, I thought Liam was older, but don't tell him I said so.
Isn't he a funny bird. And I thought the do-do bird was extinct!!

This thread would be much less confusing if everyone would just post their age.

- wading thru the muck! age 44

That way I don't have to do any counting on my fingers
Sincerely,

Linda, if you born in 1955, you're about the same age as my sister!

She was born on 03/15/55. "The Ides of March"

Hi Herky,

Yes, 1955. Gee, I'm even younger than your sister! This really is my lucky day! I was born 9/15/55. I'm guessing I was a holiday creation. My brother is about two years older than you. If your sister is anything like me with my brother, she's thrilled just to be younger than you! Guess we're all baby-boomers. Now we're rapidly aging baby-boomers. Did you celebrate your 50th any special way? And will your sister celebrate in a special way? As for me, in celebration of my newfound energy, I've decided to throw my own party on my birthday. It's a ways off, but it's fun planning for it. Fun drafting the guest list. Fun listing the people I refuse to add to the list. Ha!

Wow, a thread with me right in the subject line, and it's taking on a life of it's own!

I'm not sure if I should be flattered or scared that talking about me gathers more interest than, say, talking about CFLEX.

Liam, who'd CFLEX for you, if given the time to oil up first.

Yeah yeah, don't get cocky. You young whippersnappers with your "I've got a longer hose".

Liam, who's gonna grab his walker and shuffle angrily from the room.

Crazy

Post by Sleeping With The Enemy » Sun Feb 13, 2005 10:19 pm

Liam,

My husband thinks we are all crazy. Says he thinks the common link in OSA is we are all addicted to the computer!

Anyway, you are something else!

I'm August 1967. My husband, a younger man, 1973.

Heidi, who has to recharge with the hose to keep up with my young husband!

Now, while I LOVE the name Heidi (always have), it's disappointing when you sign your name, because years ago, I had a major crush on Helen Hunt from Mad About You.

And so it's so very nice to look at HHUNT and pretend it's she.

Then again, I'm married now, and happily, to a beautiful woman (who says I don't tell her she's beautiful often enough), so I suppose it's just as well you're not really Helen Hunt, it would only serve to confuse things.

All of which had no point, but as you can see, yet again I'm lying awake unable to sleep, and when that happens, watch out world(*).

(*Where "world" is defined as "cpaptalk.com").

Liam, spending his nights hhunting for a good night's sleep.

for a while

Post by Sleeping With The Enemy » Sun Feb 13, 2005 10:31 pm

For a while I was under the impression that she was gay, so I didn't want to be associated with her name.

But apparently she is married now and has a baby.

Heidi, who isn't gay, just has OSA!!
