If truth be known Mr. Hyde shows up at my house when I am faced the same situation. I just try to lock him in a closet and not let him come out in public when he does that. He's never much of a help anyway.

Uncle Bob & Okie, I've seen 'Mr. Hyde' displayed by PR when he comes across with what HE PERCEIVES to be "dumb." PR does know that he is bullying others; he just doesn't care. And right now, he's playing along and most likely telling his buddies he's "gonna be good, yadda, yadda, yadda..." (How many times have we seen this charade before?)

And like Julie who refuses to apologize publicly to all Members whom she has hurt- Palerider has not and will not apologize publicly to everyone that he has hurt and offended over the years. Nor will he Promise never to do it again. He refuses to be accountable for his actions and to take responsibility for his negative behaviors, both past and present. Nothing's changed as far as PR's concerned; he's just playing the game, until he thinks his buddies aren't watching him as closely.

That works, but when you only want to quote part of a post, there is another way that is usually easier. Click on 'Post Reply' at the bottom or top of the thread. Then go to the post that you want to partially quote. Highlight only the part you want to quote. Then click 'Quote' at the top of the comment. Bingo, the part you highlighted is quoted in your reply box. You can do this multiple times in one reply, even for multiple users' posts.

This is what I do. Especially when I am trying to answer questions so that the answer is easily seen.
I quote the first question...give a response
then quote the second ...give a response
and so on. I think it makes for easier reading...at least for me anyway and I am the first person I have to please.

Hi Sleepy

The difference though is PR is not breaking any rules that Mr Goodman has for his board. Julie has, admitted that she has, and refused to apologize.

PR responses often are insulting, rude, and I would not respond in such a way myself. This, though doesn't contravene the owner of this boards rules for conduct.

I don't enjoy the fact that PR and others respond to Avi123 by calling him senile, past his prime etc. If they truly feel that the individual is not mentally competent then responding the way they do is unnecessarily cruel and serves no purpose, and lessens them. If they're just being insulting, they're attacking the messenger, not the message, which again serves no useful purpose.

Having said that, I'm not the boss, and the above is strictly my opinion if someone doesn't like it, they're welcome to form their own, which I probably wouldn't like [WHITE SMILING FACE]️

Greetings,

Subject #1

Any member of CPAPtalk may embrace or discard ideas offered on our free marketplace. Any member may offer their own ideas to counter others. This is called freedom. With freedom comes responsibility, in this case that includes being respectful of your fellow CPAPers. Don't squander freedom, practice the golden rule on CPAPtalk.

I'm trading value for value. I provide the domain, the hosting, the software and the moderation of CPAPtalk in accordance with my set of beliefs regarding human nature and business. You may use it free of charge, you may find a better board or you may start your own.

There will be no additional moderators on CPAPtalk. The core values of this board will continue to govern it. Love your neighbor and be a neighbor others can love.

Johnny

PR ....and anyone else...is free to say whatever is on their mind in this thread.
That's what it is here for.

When someone feels they were poked at...and they want to respond in kind...that's what this thread is for.
You guys did the first poking here...what did you really expect PR to do? Turn the other cheek? Hell, I wouldn't have if it was me.

This thread was never designed to be a kiss and make up thread....it was designed to be a place to take the barbs and get them out of helping threads. This thread was never supposed to be a helping thread (though we have seen some help here which is nice).

So if you want to poke at people...you can expect to get poked back...at least keep it here in this thread.
