Properly dilute it (1-oz / 5-gallons), put about half a quart into the hose, move it back and forth, and empty it out. It's actually a lot gentler than it sounds, and leaves a surface that is anti-bacterial. Without rinsing, it is often used on glassware and is perfectly clear, clean and odorless. Do what suits you for cleanng, but this has always left my equipment fresh and clean. https://www.amazon.com/Star-San-B0064O7 ... izer+32+oz
Why's that different than a plain white vinegar rinse/mix, probably at a fraction of the price pH is pH, all being said.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Reagent quality, as the wrong chemical or concentration will interfere with zymurgy.
Zymurgy, for the uninitiated, involves growing yeast in a controlled environment.
I don't believe there is a place in cpap equipment where yeast would be welcome.
Vinegar or Control II will KILL the nasties.

Could I have a Life Force check? I've been using XPAP 11 years now, Never Cleaned a hose, maybe changed it 5 times, because they were taking too much space in the drawer. Am I dead yet? How come I didn't waste my time like others.... Jim
