This website forum has angry responses.

Why do you blame me for YOUR angry responses?

Why can't you be nice like in the other website forum?
Why can't you just go to the other forum and avoid this one if a nice safe space is what you're looking for?

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I just had to go to that "other forum" and see what helpful and sweet advice you had been given over there. Unfortunately, Pumbany, they moved the thread over there from the Main Forum to the Commercial Posts Forum. It seems you must have done something that they didn't like. And from where I come from, we don't refer to all those replies as "nice responses."

+1

I got curious, too. Looks like you're getting some similar responses over there, too.
MAYBE.........you're taking the wrong approach to your quest for knowledge.

interestingly, by post seven, he's responded insultingly to two out of the three people that've replied to him...

also, I can't say I'd be interested in reading a book by someone who lists their mask make and model as 'uncertain'.... talk about an *amazing* depth of knowledge, doesn't even know what's strapped to his/her face.

It's astounding that I am simply trying to do a good thing here by writing a book so that more people can learn about sleep apnea. Hopefully this will help some people to live better lives. Maybe it will save a life if someone get treated.

I simply asked for some advice on my book and I was treated like garbage.

Every couple of months, we get somebody claiming to do their thesis on sleep apnea, create a new product, write a book, start a sleep apnea coach service, help their customer, etc. Most of them have no idea if their goal is realistic or even needed. Yet, they expect us to do their homework and provide all the info they want in their special thread, despite the face that there are years of good threads here. If you want ideas, read the posts. Don't be surprised that we don't want to do your job for free. We are tired of people thinking they can make money from us.

Consider how you joined this forum. You didn't even start with an introduction and how you have sleep apnea. You basically told us you are writing a book, and asked us what you should include. What kind of intro is that?

Are you writing a book because you are bursting with information, or are you writing a book because you think you can write a book and make some money, and this happens to be the topic you have chosen? If you don't know what to include in this book, you are NOT ready to write it.

If you had joined the group and posted for awhile, you would have known that this comes up every few months, and we don't feel the need to jump at every request. We also like to know who or why we should help.

Are you paying this "book coach"? Is this a get rich quick thing? It would make more sense if you were taking a class. But this sounds like you are paying somebody to teach you to write a book. You are more interested in writing a book, any book, rather than filling a need for a particular topic.

This isn't a wimpy university with "safe zones". This is real life where people have free speech. You can choose to particpate or not, but you can NOT control the responses. If you put it out there, people WILL reply, any way they want.

I suspect you are in your 20s, and you have been failed by your family and school system. They don't prepare kids for the real world anymore. Criticism is something you will need to learn to deal with. In any job. In any forum. Etc.

Here are some of those "nice" responses --->
Advise them to not put the unit on the floor near where a big, flatulent dog sleeps.

i can't see where another well-intentioned and fairly ignorant book will increase our understanding moreso than, say, this board.

Writing a simple post asking others to help you gather a topic list shows me that you're a bit lazy perhaps. Why not try doing your own research, rather than asking others to do your work for you? Are there not enough sleep apnea-related topics out there on the Internet for you to gather the info yourself?

Are you writing this book to inform people and enrich their lives, or just to sell copies?

but what I see from such a book is another conduit to help people find this site.
Not such "nice responses" as you would have us believe.

"Nice" may be used to describe someone whose restraint is self-imposed.

Or so I hear.

I mean, I wouldn't personally know.

Because all I know is that this thread has motivated me to hire a dance coach and to begin choreographing a children's ballet about sleep apnea. (Julie thinks maybe she can get me a spot on a TV dance show.) Does anyone in this thread have any helpful suggestions for me? Or should I start a different thread? Maybe a perpetual poll?

If I had meant "self-restrained", I would have written "self-restrained".
