It's astounding that I am simply trying to do a good thing here by writing a book so that more people can learn about sleep apnea. Hopefully this will help some people to live better lives. Maybe it will save a life if someone get treated.
I simply asked for some advice on my book and I was treated like garbage.
Every couple of months, we get somebody claiming to do their thesis on sleep apnea, create a new product, write a book, start a sleep apnea coach service, help their customer, etc. Most of them have no idea if their goal is realistic or even needed. Yet, they expect us to do their homework and provide all the info they want in their special thread, despite the face that there are years of good threads here. If you want ideas, read the posts. Don't be surprised that we don't want to do your job for free. We are tired of people thinking they can make money from us.
Consider how you joined this forum. You didn't even start with an introduction and how you have sleep apnea. You basically told us you are writing a book, and asked us what you should include. What kind of intro is that?
Are you writing a book because you are bursting with information, or are you writing a book because you think you can write a book and make some money, and this happens to be the topic you have chosen? If you don't know what to include in this book, you are NOT ready to write it.
If you had joined the group and posted for awhile, you would have known that this comes up every few months, and we don't feel the need to jump at every request. We also like to know who or why we should help.
Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?
