Can't we just all get along?

Or must we have this?

Good, you have a sense of humor. Too many here don't.

There are 3 or 4 people here who I get mixed up because I just think "parochial" or "inbred" when I see their names or avatars and I don't 'hear' what they are saying. I mix up Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh the same way.

When an intelligent cultured person speaks I am fascinated by the content of what they are saying and the personality fades into the background.
I suggest you avoid listening to Howard Stern. He might assault your *cough* delicate senses. And, just because YOU get lost while using words like "parochial" and "inbred" doesn't mean that others are as lacking in their ability to enjoy life outside the box, from whatever direction it comes. Don't forget, while you're trying to play government and tell everyone that we must ALL CONFORM to YOUR ideal, that there are many who just don't give a damn about being part of the Cookie Cutter Nation. And PR seems to be one of those. Oh, and I'm in the same boat. I see your point, but it seems too narrow minded to me. Could just be that I see things differently? Hmm...maybe we AREN'T all the same. *gasp*

So, does this mean that you become intolerant once per month like I do? Because I must say...Mother Nature has a way of bringing out the beast in me on these threads.

Howard Stern is intelligent...and funny. And PMS? Really?

Your tag team "conforms" to a different cookie cutter...sadly a very common cookie cutter.

I'm surprised you don't call Stern some name for being so over the top with his level of condescension. I guess that it's okay in SOME people, just not people who don't make millions per year, nor have the following of the rather rabid fan base? Safer to jump on the "beat PR" bandwagon, at any rate. And tag team? Meh. I just tend to agree that he makes sense, more often than not. It's an occasional boost, not like the puppy pile I've seen on here, where a dozen people seem to think it's FINE to hop in and verbally abuse him, because they have the support of a bunch of others. Nothing like hiding in a group. Although, from the way I see things (again, my view only), PR stands on his own two feet, whether everyone agrees with him, or no one. And he's not afraid to state his case.

And PMS. Really. You know, women have all these weird hormones rushing through our bodies, making changes where they see fit, whether or not they're welcome. Ain't life grand?

Although i meant everything i said on this thread i am thinking now that none of it had to be said. I received the ashes of my husband this afternoon and remembered that he had once asked me whether i had ever had an unexpressed thought. He died suddenly a couple of weeks ago and my pity party made me feel entitled to express my thoughts.

So, i guess i can't apologize for saying things i truly felt but maybe now that he is back home i will be reminded that it is ok to leave some things unsaid.

Elle, i'm glad you're standing by the heart of your messages even if you're second guessing whether you needed to express all of them.

As you likely know, our dear friend Dori lost her husband very recently too. My heart goes out to both of you.

Take care.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. I am not making excuses but am just calmer and reminded that i can keep some stuff to myself.

I was separated but still friends and with him when he passed. It is calming having him back.

I don't post here very often... if you read my previous posts you'll understand why. Occasionally I do read here and it's amusing how the same type of threads are always on the front page. While Palerider is CPAP/BPAP savvy and he knows it, or because of it, he is easily the most rude person on this forum; and people need to take what they feel is sensible and run from the rest. I think he positively enjoys these threads... so if anyone thinks he is going to change... forgit about it. To those who feel similarly, don't waste your typing fingers... it serves no purpose.

I doubt it will take more than a few minutes for Palerider to post another one of his childish, sarcastic comments. Wait for it.
