Don't dishwash any mask part in the dishwasher unless you have a spare. ResMed says not to dishwash masks, but I do anyway.

As for the water tank, I'd only recommend to dishwash is the "dishwashable" ResMed tank. You can buy them at cpap.com, online, or you might get them from your DME. They're also called "cleanable" tanks.

The S9 standard tanks can be damaged by hot water. The dishwasher water probably wouldn't be hot enough, but I can't tell you it's safe. I've dishwashed my "standard" tank a few times with no obvious harm.

We don't have enough experience with the A10 tanks to know how different the dishwashable and standard tanks are. Don't try dishwashing the standard tank unless you have a spare.

YES, I have the same machine S9 Resmed and after using SoClean2 for less than 4 months I found my plastic squeaking when moving the hose around while sleeping, and the entire mask had an orange discoloration. This orange is on the soft and hard plastic areas. It looks like rust and with the squeaking of the mask "frame" when twisting the hose, it response like a rusting effect. I use quality materials and I got my SoClean2 via Amazon. I do not believe this problem is due to inferior CPAP materials or an inferior SoClean2 machine. It is not time to change my filter yet. Has anyone found why this orange discoloration is occurring?

Two year old thread, but the answer to your question:
Ozone is highly reactive and silicone is not completely inert.
Some yellowing will occur in direct sunlight or exposure to tobacco smoke,
but the silicone decays more rapidly when exposed to ozone.
Normal cleaning (water, mild detergent, white vinegar) is more effective, and is not as deleterious to your equipment.

Or blame Obama. Thanks, Obama!
Obama gave me this headcold, it wasn't my roomie after all!
All he gave me was a pain in the billfold, I never did get my Obama Phone, just two soup cans (empty) and a small ball of string. Jim

I don't suppose when you were trolling old dead posts you actually took the time to read them. The answer is in there, some reading required 1st post referred to it. It normal if you use So NO Clean, plastic doesn't like it. Jim
