There are other options out there. I could not tolerate CPAP because of issues with glaucoma. I've been fitted for a dental appliance, which is covered by Medicare. If you can't tolerate the CPAP and it's documented by your physician, the physician can then write a referral to a sleep dentist. I'm not sure how my jaw will do with the dental device pressure -- that remains to be seen -- but it's worth a try. If it fails, I will then have to try a variable pap (less intraocular pressure raising issues). The alternative of not using anything is the least appealing -- brain, heart damage, etc.? I'm way too young to end up in a nursing home!

If you are snoring and still able to sleep but your partner is having problems sleeping, it means that you are getting so tired that you are able to sleep with the loud noise in your body next to your ears.

It has to be louder for you than your partner!
